dont know if it was the tour guide that was boring or the fact that some of the electronic stuff were out of order. but i was anxious to get out of there and continue with my other plans

To be at street level at the time of Jesus Christ was unbelievable. Those huge walls that Herod built were amazing. This is a must see!

An hour long tour along the subterranean part of the Western Wall - book online as it often sells out (we booked a week in advance and chose an evening tour). Our guide was superb in providing the history and bringing the incredible architectural achievement of the Second Temple to life. Purely personal but there were other highlights of my trip to Jerusalem that are ranked below this on Tripadvisor but it was still a worthwhile and interesting time.

Very interesting and fun to see how these were built, and some of those stones were too big for anyone to understand how they could have been placed there, especially that long ago. Amazing piece of history. Formidable experience.

Everyone has heard of it and many want to go and visit. A few tips: visit early morning or in the afternoon - the heat is unbearable in mid-day. Dress appropriately - elbows and knees must be covered. If you are not dressed according to the code there are ladies walking around handing out pieces of cloth to help you cover up.
Mondays and Tuesdays are the traditional days for a Bar-Mitzva party so try and set your visit to these days - the party is held at the western wall with the special songs and celebration.
