In these tunnels, you see examples of Herodian stone from the days of the Second Temple. If you are particularly spiritual, the tunnels run along the perimeter of the Temple Mount and are near where the Holy of Holies is buried. Walking through history - ancient history - is remarkable. Afterwards, visit the Burnt House and the Kariate Shul. The Kariates follow biblical law only and were expelled from Egypt in the 20th Century.

This is where Jesus and Herod and all ancient people walked. A wonderful tour...great. Really great.

“so-so tour”

Our family was disappointed in this tour which was interesting but Waaay too long for what we were seeing. Could have accomplished seeing the tunnels in about half the time it took.

“One of my favorites.”

I would not have expected this to be a favorite but it was. The guide was excellent and the sights were awesome. Ancient history that most people will never see. Book ahead.

On the actual spot where many historical events took place can see the real artifacts and media presentations. Make reservations in advance
