Located just off the central university campus, the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens offers between an hour to two hours of pleasant investigation into the varied climatic and geographical gardens presented. Over the years we have visited numerous times and each time have found something new on the grounds.

Took the bus tour to these gardens and was extremely disappointed by the flowers and plants. Mostly bonsai plants and hardly any flowers. Cafe was nice and served nice lunch. Would not recommend it

We had lunch at the restaurant and had a wonderful time. This is a wonderful and beautiful setting in an otherwise beige city.

We first sat at the Kapit coffee house and had a tasty Apfelstrudel and an Ice coffee, and then started our tour in the garden, after receiving a student discount, we wandered the green, beautiful place in the middle of the city.
The garden is divided Into continents, and even in the summer it was pretty flourish.

The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens are for my money one of Jerusalem's hidden gems. From your friendly greeting upon arriving to the occasional chat with workers while strolling the grounds the whole experience is one of relaxed but educational quality. The staff obviously know their stuff and show they care in their work. The gift shop is folksy which is a pleasant change from those in some of the other museums. A fine way to spend several hours any time.
