“It really hit the craving for interesting cooking and at the same time, home made and comforting.”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

Although we were enjoying felafel, schwarma, and some good gourmet restaurants, we wanted something unusual. Yemen food here hit the spot. The food was very tasty and the service perfect. The owner was extremely friendly and warm.
Although we are not Yemen, we felt like we were home with family.

“Perfect between Old City and Shopping”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

This small place on Yaffo St. is perfect for a delicious snack between the Old City and the Shopping Street in Jerusalem. Some original Yemenite kitchen with a great service, very polite, clean and always with a smile - no matter if the senior boss or her son are working there.
Always try to visit this place when I am around.

“Very friendly service but food just average (slightly bellow)”
Reviewed June 8, 2014

We were glad to see a Yemenite restaurant back in the area (many years ago there was an excellent Yemenite restaurant close to Nahalat Sheva that we loved) and choose to have an early dinner there. We where disappointed. The oxtail soup (typical Yemenite) was tasteless, the Yemenite bread was cold and old. Service was friendly and fast (the restaurant was empty but we ignored this as quality sign and attributed it to the hour) but that alone will not bring us back.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed May 16, 2014

I loved yemenite food served here. We were not very adventurous (no oxtail or lung dish) and had beef stew, turkey and omelette. Everything was delicious. All queries about food were thoroughly explained to us by owner. Great experience!

“Excellent food!”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

The service is great with a very pleasant atmosphere. The food arrived quickly and the taste was phenomenal. Shavai is the turkey breast that stand in spices for a while and then prepared. All recommendations. Price is acceptable if you have in mind that you are in Israel.
