“Bit of history”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

Background: The walls around the Old City of Jerusalem were built by Suleiman the Magnificent in 1542. Most of the gates within these walls were designed by Siran, an Ottoman-Turkish architect.

Zion gate is located on Mount Zion, and is the source of its name. It is also known as the gate to the Jewish Quarter due to its proximity to this section of the Old City. The best way to experience the splendor of the gates of the Old City is to take a walk all around the Old City walls via the wraparound ramparts.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

I could live here a few months cause 2 weeks just isn't enough to city the great old city, but what many places I did see were amazing . The Walk here Jesus walked was moving and beautiful at the same time . Nothing but shopping and and sight seeing but mostly Praying for Peace !

“Jerusalem zoo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

The perfect first family zoo trip for a young child and grandparents. Beautiful exhibits carefully created to include lots of shade and plenty of places to sit down. The animals were paired and put together just like Noah would have put them together. Best of all there was a mockup building replicate of the Noah's ark at the end of the walk. All of us greatly enjoyed the park. The grand baby's first trip to the zoo was a wonderful memorable experience. I highly recommend it!

“So Cool”

If you love modern history, this place has some good stories about the bullet-holes surrounding the wall from when the Jordanians ruled the place in 1967.

“'Gate of David' or Zion Gate”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

You might just say yet another gate. But its part of this magical city, this is one of the seven open gates of the Old City. With each gate having its own aspect.
