This area is really so beautiful, with lovely gardens and views. However, what really makes it special is that it was the first Jewish neighborhood built outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem. It's hard to realize that the Old City was actually walled and that this area was seen as "outside" the city - a concept that sounds pretty foreign nowadays. So amongst all the beauty, there is also an amazing history. Definitely check it out!
