“Important to see all four”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

The quarters of the old city each bring a different flavor, attractions and many merchants. To get an understanding of the dynamics and complexities of the old city it is good to walk through all four quarters. Each has is special sites worth seeing. As fro Merchants, it is generally priced high as one would expect in a major tourist destination so be sure what you want to buy is best bought there and not elsewhere. An example is the beautiful Hebron glass. If you are going to Hebron by any chance, wait and buy the glass there as it is much less expensive. If not, its beautiful glass and worth its cost as a memorable souvenir. We had a very unpleasant experience with David's Cave store and I would not recommend buying anything at that store in the Armenian Quarter.

“One of the poorest”
Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

Probably the less significant of the four quarters.
Nothing much I can say about this area but its quite dirty and of lower significance than the other three.

“some tips”

It's a good place to eat on Passover, when most restaurants are closed. Also note that you can get delicious coffee with cardamon in any armenian restaurant.

“Definitely recommended!”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Walked thru Armenian Quarter twice - once on our way from Jaffa Gate to Zion, during daytime; then while returning from Western Wall on Shabbat night (even more charming in the dark, relaxed and absolutely safe). It is as unique and inimitable as the other three Old City quarters, so don't pretend you have visited the Old City if you didn't see the Armenian! Besides it is serene and quiet unlike the bubbling Muslim Quarter market, so if you want to get to the Jewish Quarter and Western Wall from Jaffa Gate and have already experienced the Muslim - go thru Armenian.
