The hotel is just awesome from the spacious rooms to the beautiful views it's just an unbelievable experience. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The service is very quick. The food is great. They are very accommodating for Shabbat with prayer services in the hotel and and great meal as well.

Let me start with the best, the breakfast. Very nice to sit outside and the food was delicious, except the guy making omelets didn't have a clue. That's the good part.
The spa was terrible. My daughters 50 min. Facial was 20 minutes. My massage was so bad that I had to take alleve afterwards. The foot reflexology was a joke, she just rubbed my feet.
The television in the room was broken, they sent up a repairman,he wiggled a couple of wires and left. It still was not working, someone else came and ended up replacing the t.v.
The room itself was facing the street and windows were not insulated so the traffic noise was constant and all hours.
We had a late check out, we were still in the room when the management used their key and just walked in. Lucky we were dressed:(
Would not return to that hotel.

I recently booked a day at the David Citadel Spa, an experience that is marketed as being relaxing and pampering. I find it to be quite the opposite. I had booked several treatments ahead of time for a certain day. Days before my appointments, I was called and told that none of my appointments could be honored on the day or time that they were scheduled. They wanted to know when to reschedule for, and through our conversation it became apparent that they themselves did not know when the relevant specialist would be available, and that after we rescheduled they may call to cancel again.
After expressing how unacceptable this "service" was, the receptionist consulted with the manager and called me back to say that my treatments could remain as originally planned.

Meaning - the hotel staff was capable of honoring its commitment and instead it chose to inconvenience the client.
Unacceptable.

If you happen to be staying at the Citadel, and need a quick fix, then head downstairs to the spa. But if you're not, reconsider this one: masseurs/masseuses are not the most empathetic and service oriented. One masseur in particular actually walked out on me: but that's another story for another day. The Spa management was appalled, and apologized, inviting me back for a freebie. But frankly, I've been pampered at the best and certain indulgences just weren't there...like the choice of massage fragrances, a blow dry station in the women's change room and fluffy towels to warm up with. I know this spa is anxious to compete with the best, but its got a long way to go. If they'd like to pay my return fare to Israel, I'd be happy to whip them into shape.
