“A Must for Families and kids!"”

The Jerusaelm zoo is pleasent and intresting as always, can't even count how many times we've been here :)
as the zoo is mostly outdoors make sure to visit when the weather is pleasent and preferably not in the major holidays.
all around takes 3-4 hours so plan accordingly.

Tip - bring your own food as the offerings are sparse and expensive...

“Fun for all-including the animals.”
Reviewed December 17, 2011

Kids and Adults will love it.

The animals have large cages and are well kept. You can walk inside some of the pens (Lemurs and Kangeroos).A lot of water everywhare. Migrating birds are welcome visitors in early winter. Some chickens and peacocks just wonder around the zoo.

Recommend having a picnic on one of the lawns, also don't miss the elephant's show on 12:30. The Petting zoo for children is nice and relatively clean.

“Don't Miss this Lovely Zoo”
Reviewed November 18, 2011

I've been to lots of zoos in lots of countries but keep coming back to the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem...and not just because it's 40 minutes away.
The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. Plenty of grassy areas and picnic tables to have picnics by the peaceful lake with the monkey island in the middle and the geese, ducks and swans in and around the water.
The animals are in natural environments with lots of space. You'd be hard pressed to think of an animal which doesn't live in this zoo.
I take my grandchildren there pretty frequently and while their personal favorites change from visit to visit, the monkey area (another one - not the one in the lake) is always one spot we stay for a long time. Watching the monkeys groom each other, play and do tricks.
Don't miss the kangaroo garden or the rainforest pavilion.

Definite hit with my kids. Nicely laid out with decent amount of space for animals. And good playground for kids.

“Great for chidren but avoid public holidays”
Reviewed November 16, 2011

Fantastic zoo. Very modern in a great location. Pay attention that at the summer most of the visit is out of shade and it might be very hot. On weekends it is mostly reasonably crowded. On holidays it might be too crowded. Ask at your hotel...
