English speaking tours are offered on Sundays and Thursdays. Get to see the Chagall tapestries and mosaic. Learn about the Israeli government and political system.
Best of all, the tour is free.
I've visited many museums, historical and religious sites in Israel. This is one of the best presentations.

“Democracy rules! :)”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

The Israeli parliament, the Knesset, it the beating heart of the democracy in Israel.
While most of the debates held in the Knesset are rather boring for visitors (and are held in Hebrew), they demonstrate just how the only Democracy in the Middle East works.
Worth a visit.

“Demos Knesset Tour”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Quite a walk out of the old city but close to 2 other museums worth a visit with cafes e.g. dead sea scrolls. 3 or so english guided tours a week- arrive 3/4 an hour in advance, bags get checked and left in zippy security bag store area and passports checked. We got to see the debating chamber and many of the committee rooms as the parli was in recess with the pending elections on 22 Jan. Our English speaking guide from London was very knowledgable re- everything from historic events, the symbolism in Marc Chaggal's tapestries and mosaics and the signing of the constititution. He dis the tour through a headset-so you can hear everyword. An informative brochure on the Knesset is also available whilst you wait for the tour. Security staff a gruff and could do with lightening up -it won't stop them doing there job. They could do with being familar with where refreshemnts are available close by- as we were thirsty and they said they didn't know where or if we could get a drink at the museum just down the road!! You can get take out coffees etc and eat on benches near parliament. The UK given Menorrah (on all the postcards) is a photo opp. , close to Knesset entrance and vehicle security gates as you approach. Insight into higky coalescive system that is Israel's brand of democracy!! Channel 99 on TV - gives you it live, as was said.
