Owner description: This memorial park and cemetery is the final resting place of Theodor Herzl, the founder of political Zionism, and other noted leaders including Golda Meir, Levi Eshkol and Yitzhak Rabin.

Never again must man be allowed to do to man what was done in the Holocaust. At Yad Veshem the story is retold by those who survived and those who remember the ones who did not. If you have a full day here you will not see everything, but you will come away moved. Particularly poignant is the over-riding view by the Jewish people who do not ask how God could let this happen, only how man -who was made in the image of God-could do this to man. Also the moving emphasis on a future and a hope.

This is a peaceful and very beautiful cemetery where the great leaders of Israel are buried. It is also very sad as many soldiers are also buried there. In my opinion, no trip to Jersualem should be made without a visit to this very special place.

I've been here before, but am always awestruck. The Herzl museum, relatively new is interesting, but not particulary impressive.

I enjoyed this. Not that I like cemeteries. It shows you where some of the most important Israelis are buried, most notably Theodore Herzl, the father of modern Zionism also buried there are Yitzhak and Leah Rabin, Gold Mier, Hanah Senesh, Yonatan Netanyahu, he was the only person killed during the raid on Entebee, Uganda in 1976 and was the brother of Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israe.l

Easily accesible from the centre nowdays, as the tram runs there. The beautiful green area houses a nice park (though sometimes very noisy, when the children school groups come), Herzl Museum, his tomb on the hill and the military cemetery, where also a number of political leaders are buried (including Golda Meir and Itzhak Rabin). Worth visiting.
Entrance to park and cemetery is free, only the museum is upon fee.
