Very easy to come to on the train from Jaffa Road.
The view is stunning.
But I wanted more directions to nearby Yad Vashem.

“Powerful and Meaningful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

Beautiful grounds.

A very important place to visit if Israeli history is important to you.

Ze'ev Jabotinsky is buried here (controversially, to some). He was Begin's mentor and an important part of the strength of Israel's resolve.

Menachem Begin is NOT in fact buried here, but rather at the holy Mount of Olives.

“Definately!”

A very meaningful addition to your Jerusalem trip. If you're not going with a guide then take a guide book to read. There are a lot of very important stories to be explored on these grounds.

Great way to pay your respects and memorialize the thousands of Jewish soldiers who have fallen to help create and defend the State of Israel.

“Important and beautiful.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

This is the final resting place of Theodor Hertzel, who founded the modern Zionism.
It is also the site of Israel's national cemetery, where many heads of state are buried.
The most emotional places on the mountain are the grave of Yitchak Rabin, the slain Israeli prime minister and the wall in memory of all the Israelis who perished due to terror attacks by the Palestinians.
