“Voice coming from heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2013

Visiting the Church of St. Anne is very memorable and unforgetable. When our group went inside , they started singing and the sound produced is very haunting and it seems the voice is coming from heaven and it gave me goosebumps. The structure of the church really reminds you of Mama Mary.....and the garden outside is worth visiting also

“Stunning Sound”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

Every group or person who goes there will stand near the chancel and sing. And after you do, you'll know why. The haunting resonance is awesome. It's right next to the pool of Bethesda which most pilgrims will also visit.

“Wonderful architecture, spectacular acoustics”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2013

The Church of St. Anne is a lovely example of Romanesque architecture. Its outstanding characteristic, however, is that it has fabulous acoustics. Tour groups from churches all over the world come here to see the church and to take advantage of the opportunity to sing for 5 or 10 minutes during their visit. My husband and I visited the church on two separate occasions, enjoying the opportunity to sit in the pews and have a series of brief "concerts" by visiting groups. Although the quality of the singing varied, the acoustics made even amateur choruses sound like choirs of angels. Outside of the church are some very interesting ruins which are also worth exploring. Definitely a neat place to visit!

“The singing reached the heavens!”

Take the time to enter the church, sit and listen to the people singing as they come and go. The acoustics are wonderful. Then take time to walk in the gardens. I will sooth the spirit!

“A lovely stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

The gardens surrounding it are an oasis in the city and the church itself has awesome acoustics. Settle into a pew and listen to the groups who come in to sing together, however extemporaneous. Inspiring.
