My boyfriend and I, along with two of our friends, came to Jerusalem to see the sights before a wedding we were attending. Our flight was very early in the morning and we had just spent over two days travelling to get to Israel. We arrived to the hotel at around 5 or 6 in the morning and were extremely exhausted. Nadav, at the front desk, was PHENOMENAL. He went above and beyond for us. Obviously our rooms weren't yet available, but he arranged it so that we could use two unoccupied rooms to get some sleep until our rooms were ready. He was so accommodating and after 30+ hours of travelling, the rest was much needed and much appreciated.
The rooms were OK, the bathroom was musty smelling and oddly placed. We were barely in our rooms anyways so it wasn't a big deal. The rooms were clean and neat and that's all that mattered to us. The bar next door was a little busy but it died down quickly, especially during the week. We were so tired by the end of the day that the noise didn't really matter and the air conditioner drowned it out anyway.
The complimentary breakfast was AMAZING! I had never been exposed to Israeli food and the breakfast spread had all sorts of delicious dishes. Fresh salads, pastas, eggs, Halvah, and fresh squeezed juices were available and changed daily to keep it interesting. It was all delicious and fresh and set us up for a great day!
The location of the hotel can't be beat. It was steps away from Ben Yahuda street which was filled with restaurants, bars, and shops. You could also catch the tram from there to get to any part of Jerusalem. It was about a 10 minute walk to Jaffa Gate and the older, historical part of Jerusalem. We had two walking guides come meet us at the hotel with no problem. Zel, one of our guides, was really impressed at how perfect the location was and decided right there to write a blog for his touring company about the importance of hotel location. We walked from our hotel around the entire old part of the city and the location made it the perfect starting and ending point since everything was so close. Couldn't have asked for a better stay and the hotel was very inexpensive and a fantastic value! We would DEFINITELY stay here again if we make it back to Jerusalem!
