“Great Staff, Great Location, Great Food”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

My boyfriend and I, along with two of our friends, came to Jerusalem to see the sights before a wedding we were attending. Our flight was very early in the morning and we had just spent over two days travelling to get to Israel. We arrived to the hotel at around 5 or 6 in the morning and were extremely exhausted. Nadav, at the front desk, was PHENOMENAL. He went above and beyond for us. Obviously our rooms weren't yet available, but he arranged it so that we could use two unoccupied rooms to get some sleep until our rooms were ready. He was so accommodating and after 30+ hours of travelling, the rest was much needed and much appreciated.

The rooms were OK, the bathroom was musty smelling and oddly placed. We were barely in our rooms anyways so it wasn't a big deal. The rooms were clean and neat and that's all that mattered to us. The bar next door was a little busy but it died down quickly, especially during the week. We were so tired by the end of the day that the noise didn't really matter and the air conditioner drowned it out anyway.

The complimentary breakfast was AMAZING! I had never been exposed to Israeli food and the breakfast spread had all sorts of delicious dishes. Fresh salads, pastas, eggs, Halvah, and fresh squeezed juices were available and changed daily to keep it interesting. It was all delicious and fresh and set us up for a great day!

The location of the hotel can't be beat. It was steps away from Ben Yahuda street which was filled with restaurants, bars, and shops. You could also catch the tram from there to get to any part of Jerusalem. It was about a 10 minute walk to Jaffa Gate and the older, historical part of Jerusalem. We had two walking guides come meet us at the hotel with no problem. Zel, one of our guides, was really impressed at how perfect the location was and decided right there to write a blog for his touring company about the importance of hotel location. We walked from our hotel around the entire old part of the city and the location made it the perfect starting and ending point since everything was so close. Couldn't have asked for a better stay and the hotel was very inexpensive and a fantastic value! We would DEFINITELY stay here again if we make it back to Jerusalem!

This was a great place to stay while in Jerusalem. The location was great, close to the old city and the rail. The staff were stars, always willing to help and advise. The breakfast was a good spread too. Definitely a good place to stay.

Room Tip: The top rooms are nearer to the sun terrace, not much to see up there but a great place to unwind. R...

We spent a night at jerusalem, nice place to stay providing value for money, Very nice breakfast.
I had a migraine on Saturday morning while all stores were closed, the restaurant attendant was wonderful by giving me pills to ease the pain.

After spending 5 nights with my husband for our first trip to Israel at Jerusalem Inn, I am uncertain as to why this hotel is not rated higher. The location for the Jerusalem Inn is fantastic! Very short walking distance to great bistros, cafes, and restaurants. Close to the rail, and only a ten minute walk to Jaffa Gate. We booked Rent-A-Guide for all of our tours and there was no issues and they picked us up right at the Inn's door.

As for our hotel room, it was on the second floor and yes, the bar next door is jumping until 2 a.m. I am the most sensitive sleeper and once we turned on the air condition and my white noise phone app, I never heard a thing after that. As for the bathroom, the setup is strange. But we were barely in our room and it was not bad. The room was decorated in a more modern way, but it was clean and the bed comfortable. One night we decided to pop in at the bar next door, and the bartender gave us free shots and had some great conversation.

The best part of our stay was the FANTASTIC complimentary breakfast. My husband and I really enjoyed the Israeli food selection and we got our day started off in the best way. The food was fresh and varied. Juice was all freshly squeezed, and fresh fruits widely available. Salads, eggs, cheeses, bread and honey selections were such a treat. The young lady working the breakfast area was so sweet and stayed busy every morning, restocking and cleaning. She was the hardest working person at the hotel we saw.

Overall great stay and we would stay again.

We picked this hotel because it was inexpensive and we were not planning on spending much time in our room. The hotel is walkable to the Old City and to the metro train which is really nice. Lots of restaurants to pick from in walking distance. Room was small, but had a balcony. Rooftop deck was also nice to relax and read. Breakfast was included and very nice. Many of the staff at the front desk were not the most attentive and more into their music and phone. But we were satisfied with the overall experience for the price.

Room Tip: No elevator, so get a lower floor if you have heavy bags.
