“Sad, but beautiful memorial.”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

We visited Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial on our recent trip to Jerusalem. There is a tram running that takes you there and then it is a pleasant walk through a forest to the entrance. Allow at least 3 hours, there is a lot to see and take in , it is very emotionally difficult to see and hear some of the video displays but really beautifully portrayed history and so important that these stories are remembered. We had a very touching experience and the Jewish people have shown this part of their heritage with dignity. A very worthwhile visit and a must see if you are going to Jerusalem.

“An absolute must in Jerusalem”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

This is a powerful and moving site, it is an absolute must if you are visiting Jerusalem. Also it is very easy to access, just hop on the light rail and get off at Mt. Herzl

“Tragic”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

To think there are Holocaust deniers with memorials around the world of which Yad Vashem is simply at the forefront is unbelievable.

“Powerful, solemn experience”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

This is one of those places you simply must visit when near Jerusalem. It's not appropriate for young children and I believe the museum even has a policy about not admitting young ones. This site must be approached with reverence. The Children's Exhibit, to me was most poignant. I visit Yad Vashem whenever I am in Israel. May we never forget.

“Something to see for all mankind”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Yad Vashem is a place that everyone should see. It is an extremely emotional place that illustrates the need for all people to live in peace. The day we visited, we saw every person possible (White, Black, Asian) and they all were amazingly quiet as they went through the exhibits and saw the horror that man can do to another man. The actual museum was extremely well designed and illustrated the Holocaust in as almost a personal view. After touring the museum, almost everyone that we overheard used the word "powerful" in their description and "powerful" is probably the best way to describe it.
