Overwhelming memorial. Well worth a visit even if just to pay your respects and learn a little more.

Well, I'm a jew. But even if you are not - you should go in.
Everything you knew before, all the movies you've seen before doesn't give you the picture. Come here to study the scale.

On Thursdays the museum open till 8pm. Main exhibition only.
So if you plan for 1-day Jerusalem visit only - make it Thursday.
Too bad kids memorial closed by 5pm. It is very strong. I was there with my son and I hoped to show him also the kids memorial.

This redesigned museum cleverly allows visitors to get a feeling of how the Jews of Europe were trapped by the Nazis.

This was our second visit to Yad Vashem. It was as powerful and difficult to visit this time as the last. Do not miss the Children's Memorial. Rent an audio guide and leave at least two hours. The horror of the holocaust is overwhelming and makes you wonder about man's inhumanity towards man. The museum is quiet, somber, with the most beautiful grounds. Admission is free, with donations accepted.

You really only need to visit the Holocaust History Museum but be sure you leave yourself enough time because there is a lot to see and read and it takes a while to absorb all of the information. The entire very sad story is presented amazingly well and thoroughly.
