“Not to be missed if possible”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

The Tower of David Museum was quite the event. I must admit to seeing only the spectacular a/v presentation on the history of Jerusalem, but not seeing the excavated ruins in the daytime. We climbed the hill, through the Jaffa Gate, and over to the Museum in the later evening and finally wended our way down to the seating area where we were treated to the a/v show, projected at least 100 yards wide onto the irregular walls. We were not made aware beforehand on what to expect, so the surprise added to the wondrous event. This is something not to be missed if you can schedule into your plans.

“Your first stop to understand the history of Israel”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

If you really want to understand the history of Israel this museum in the old city should be your fist stop. I easy takes a few hours to complete but truly provides a very detailed history of Israel. You can rent a machine that explains the displays in many languages and walk through the displays at your own pace. The museum also provides you with ample opportunities to take pictures of the old city and outlying areas.
