“Night Spectacular Show”

IF at all possible schedule time to view this show at the citadel/tower of david. I don't know how they do it but the show highlites the history of Jerusalem through narration and music.
Shadow movies are shown on the inside walls of the citadel.

I absolutely loved it, call it touristy all you want it is worth the money.

“Wish we'd known it was mostly outdoors”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2014

We were in Jersualem on a rainy, blustery day and, apart from the attraction of the citadel itself, we thought this museum would be a great way for us to stay dry. Bad idea. As soon as we paid our admission fee and passed through a set of glass doors, there we were again - outside in the driving rain. It got worse. We climbed (and hauled a child's stroller!) up a steep set of stairs to see the panaromic view of the Old City and East Jerusalem, only to find that we were totally exposed to the elements. Nice pictures, shame about the pneumonia. To be fair, some portions of the museum were indoors (although you had to pass through the outdoor sections to get from room to room) and what we saw, shivering, was generally well done and informative. Certainly, on a nice day, this would be an ideal place to orient oneself to Jerusalem's past, as well as its present. And it would be nice to spend more time exploring the ruins of Herod's Castle, which is apparently under the foundations of the citadel. Overall, I don't really regret visiting. I just wish we'd done our homework before presuming this was a place of refuge, or a typical indoor museum.

“The place where Herod fortified”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2014

This is not really related to King David but what you do get here is a fantastic view of the whole city on the rooftop, a good museum showing the whole history of Jerusalem/Israel and some nice archeology. Better to get a guide to show you the inside

“Great View”

Well there is a lot more than a great view of the city. We enjoyed the exhibits. We did the light show and it was OK but nothing special.
