“Wonderful museum”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

This recently renovated museum is a real treat. The architecture is beautiful and the exhibits wonderful. There is something for everyone and you certainly need many days to see it all. Try and join a guided talk by a museum volunteer to make the experience even better. I would consider this a "must see" in Jerusalem.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

The indoor exhibits were very original. The modern pieces of art and sculpture were very clever. The outdoor exhibit was amazing. The model of the "Old City" is not to be missed.

“Interesting museum. Pleasant restaurant.”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Wide variety of art - both Judaica and general art. Nicely exhibited in lovely surroundings. The restaurant is relaxing and pleasant with tasty light fare. We didn't try the fancier restaurant but have heard that it's good, too.

“Top Museum”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

Unexpected treasures. Although this was not originally on our liet of things to do in the few days we had available in Israel, our driver advised us not to miss this museum. We are very grateful that he did.

“Impressive”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

The museum is really a complex of buildings with so much to see you really need at least one full day there. The Dead Sea scrolls and the building in which they are housed is fantastic. The massive model of the Old City is so impressive and gives you great insight into the city itself. The ancient collection of art, sculpture, and mosaics is quite extensive. Do not miss the exceptional bronze bust of the Emperor Hadrian!
