Many years since I have been and much has been added. You still have the Original Shrine of the Book but there is another building and also a wonderful sculpture garden. Loved the gift shop too.

A must see place when visiting Jerusalem - all exhibitions are interesting but 'Jewish art and life' especially moving with different historical pieces of art and judaica from all over the world but also a lot of modern art. Museum keeps expanding and adding new pieces, lastly a reconstruction of a synagogue from Surinam has been moved there ! Great.

With the model now at the museum there are a number of higher observation points allowing one to get much better photos of the buildings which the Holyland Hotel location didn’t have. But I miss the backdrop of the Judean hills of the old site whereas now it is surrounded by stone walls so photos look less realistic. Over the years it has incorporated information from new archaeological discoveries such as at Robinson’s Arch. I was hoping the Siloam Pool would have already been updated so that is still to come. It is a must-see for anyone interested in the decades before the destruction by the Romans.

To walk through this Museum, and then The Shrine of the Book and also the 2nd Temple Model all located in the same complex is a sensory overload, with the cafeteria close at hand, you can spend a whole day here with no problems whatsoever! WOW

Great collection of antiquities, maybe the best displayed we've seen. also modern art and in between, plus the Dead Sea Scrolls in a great pavilion.. Jerusalem is a complicated city to travel around but it would be a highlight of your trip. Layout and lighting so well planned in this new museum!
