I loved this Garden. Though you cannot walk through it, it really feels pretty much undisturbed and I had a sense of the garden very much as it may have been. It was very peaceful here, and the old gnarly trees were so interesting I took many pictures.

“Worth the visit”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

The Garden is located at the base of the Mount of Olives. It is a nice place to visit, and you are told that some of the trees were alive 2000 years ago, but it is essentially only a dozen trees you walk past on a walkway, While there, you should see the Church of All Nations.

“The real McCoy”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Many places in the Holy Land are 'traditional' meaning nobody's actually 100% sure that the sites are the place of the actual event. However, the Garden of Gethsemane is one of the 'original' sites, as far as everyone can tell. So followers of Jesus somehow feel the holiness of the place. It's a pity one now cannot walk through the small bit that's been preserved but do spend time in the church of All Nations. A spiritual experience awaits.

“Amaizing and Emotional Experience!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

This area can get quite crowded, but is not to be missed. We went to this site on a pilgrimage with a tour. Consequently, we had the Church all to our selves one evening for a worship service and private reflection time. Seeing the garden in the evening is a moving experience and allows you to see it without the crowds. The church is very beautiful and contains the "Rock of Agony".

“Peaceful & Sacred”

Beautiful old olive trees. Amidst the throngs of pilgrims & tourists, my tour companions & I were able to spend some quiet moments just sitting there & reflecting.
