You have to see Ben Yehuda Street, there is so much going on at night. Just sit and have an ice cream cone and people watch!

“Just hang out and people watch”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

I don't think that there's a better place to people watch and see all different types of Israeli better than Ben Yehuda street. Israelis and tourists, ultra orthodox, secular, young and old, well groomed and hippies who just returned from India... Young and full of energy, coupled with the older crowed who add the special Jerusalem flavor and spice to it (not to mention their own energy).

“Lots of shops, fun for people watching”
Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

Spent time here on two different nights. Good shawarma and falafels at Moshiko. Shops more expensive, but will bargain. Fun to watch Jerusalem come to life after Sabbath ends Saturday night.

“Lively and friendly but shops are very expensive”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

We stayed in an apartment in Ben Yehuda Street. We were there over Independence Day and it was wonderful to be part of something special. I think in the past Ben Yehuda Street has been the place to be seen but it is, for the most part expensive. The products in the shops are expensive even though many of them say they have a 50% discount sale. Worth a look but if you are looking for a bargain or somewhere special for supper then this is not the plave. Overall, would we stay in ben Yehuda again? No, I don't think so but we would certainly enjoy the wander up and down.

“Always Exciting!”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

You have to hang out on Ben Yehuda Street in Jerusalem! It seems like there is always something going on. It's a great place to meet many locals and tourists. You can grab some food, but some gifts and clothes. You can get cash from the ATM. You can catch entertaining performances throughout the day! It's so awesome! You can get a blend of the old and new, though mostly new that's available in Jerusalem. However, take a stroll, and you'll be quite happy you did!
