The walk from the top of the Mount down is good for a meditation... for a Christian, this was a pivotal place. The churches, the gardens, the view of the Holy city, were all meaningful, and beautiful.

The best place to take in a panoramic view of one of the most fascinating places on earth. From here you can see the Old City and the Temple Mount laid out before you; the ancient Jewish cemetery and the churches on the Mt of Olives. On a clear day, you can even see Herodian, to the south and Nebi Samuel to the north.

Nice view of the old city from the top. Dominus Flevit Church, Ghetsemane Garden and St Marys Tomb are the principal attractions. They are closed at noon, between 12 and 14.30 pm. Maria Magdalena Church (the Russian one) is opened only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From the old city, you can walk, through Lions Gate, it is about 30 min from the gate to the top of Mt of Olives.

A fantastic view over the walled city and the Golden Dome. The cemeteries are so vast. The Churches along the route are spiritual.

is life-changing and brings the Bible to life! Visited here with a tour group. What a beautiful place to view the entire face of Jerusalem, understand the distance between the places referenced in the Bible, and to really experience the walk down the mountain on the narrow streets. We also visited the Garden of Gethsemane and witnessed the awesome olive trees there. Not to be missed!
