This is a beautiful oasis in the midst of the religious tensions that are Jerusalem. It is one of the supposed sites where Jesus was buried, the other being in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The garden is peaceful, but don't plan on spending much time here. All can be seen within 15 minutes.

Run by English christians-supposedly the tomb of christ but very unlikely as Jews did not purchase tombs in this area during the time of jesus,
It is at best a good example of a tomb during that time.

The gardens are beautifully laid out with easy signs to follow as you walk through it. The opening to the tomb where the Saviour was laid is small, but when you crawl inside there is more room. Sitting in the garden afterwards there was such a feeling of calm and peacefulness. Certainly I believe this is the correct place where the Saviour was laid after his crucifixion.

We had a talk by an English guide, who explained why this was likely to be the place where Christ was crucified, but he admitted that nobody knows for sure. A peaceful place to meditate, and a shelter where we could have a short service out of the rain.
