“Wonderful.....would come again a million times”

Unbelievable place, free tour, very well explained by Ken. This place feels Holy and I really did not want to leave but they had to close. The tourist shop inside is well priced in shekels and no one forces you to buy anything in there. If ever you want to take a piece of Jerusalem home with you this is a place to visit and if you are a Christian you cannot go back home without visiting this magnificent place just outside Damascus gate. Free entry, inviting, quiet and peaceful, not packed or overcrowded.JESUS IS LORD! HE IS NOT THERE HE IS RISEN BUT THAT PLACE HAS HIS FULL PRESENCE

“A spiritual haven....”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Little evidence to support the claims of some that this is the actual site of the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Christ - but that does not matter. The Church if the Holy Sepulchre is likely to be the authentic site, but, for me, leaves me cold.
The Garden Tomb, with its empty, rock-cut tomb, underground cistern and luxurious planting transports me into a space for reflection, contemplation and worship. To be able to celebrate and share the Eucharist here has been a huge privilege for me on each of my many visits.

“Legit”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

This site feels about 100% more legit of a suspected spot where Jesus' crucifixion and tomb could have been compared to the Church of the Holy Scepulchre, and even if it's not the real site, it's not a leap of the imagination to envision it as so. Our tour guide was friendly and welcoming, and did his job excellently despite not being paid by us. A sweet spot to come and relax, as it's peaceful and scenic.

“Place of tranquility”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

They have set up this area in the best way possible! You have a guide explain to you the site and then you can go to the tomb to reflect. Afterwards, if you are with a group you can have a nice private area in the garden to sing some songs and take communion. Groups love it here. It is so peaceful in the midst of a very busy noisy city.

Beautiful gardens and history. We had communion service there. Also a very nice gift shop. Plan to allow at least 2 hours.
