Garden Tomb guides will never tell you this is the authentic location of Christ's burial. However, it is definitely worth visiting if only for the peace and the knowledge that, if this isn't the place, the real place was probably much like here. Good gift shop/bookstore. No charge for entrance, but you must make reservations. Pay attention to when it closes during the day or you will arrive and be disappointed. Guides are very knowledgeable.

Very crowded, but worth the time to see the tomb. The gift shop is one of the best.

The small tomb, and the rugged cliff surface (above a shared-bus station), give one a peaceful perspective on the most holy of events in Christian history. The fact (if it is a fact) that this location was well distant from the walled part of Jerusalem in about 30 CE, does not diminish that this site more truly reflects the feelings which should attend a visit.

A peaceful place for contemplation, different from the lines and crowds in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (the contender for the place of Jesus' grave)

This is certainly an alternative to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre as the site of the cruxificion. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He provided communion for us in a small chapel after viewing the tomb.
