“Moving Experience”
Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

I try to visit the Western Wall a couple of tines a year, alone or with guests.
For the best experience, for the first timers, is to go in the early evening.
I remember taking my Dad there over 30 years, all of a sudden he was facing the wall, the guy almost had tears from emotions.

“No way to describe the inner thrill and awe”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

There is no way to describe the inner thrill and awe of this holy site. Touching the wall brought tears to my eyes and a sense of being in a very holy place. Don't let the logistics get in your way. It may be crowded and you may believe that women should worship alongside men and there may be beggers - but those don't matter. GO, BE THERE.

“Wondrous site!”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

A great place to observe the people in worship & prayer ... The calming presence is difficult to explain. You don't want to pass this up.

“A unique place”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

The best time to visit the Kotel is on Friday evening (Shabbat) and hear the Shofar being sounded before the students from the Yeshiva come dancing down to the wall carrying the Torah scrolls. The joy and exuberance is infectious as are the daytime visits to celebrate bar mitzvahs. Celebration, prayer and history all combine to form an unforgettable experience.

“Inspirational”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

No matter how many times you visit, it's still inspirational.
Seeing everyone praying and putting small notes in the wall is still a site to see.
