Description: Georgian Cuisine like You've Never Tasted Racha Restaurant is located at Hahavatzelet St. in the heart of Jerusalem, in a building dated from the time of the British mandate in Israel. The inspiration for the restaurant's name, Racha, comes from a breathtaking region in Georgia, where the restaurant owners were born.Racha is a Georgian restaurant, offering a unique culinary and ethnic experience, from the interior design to the hosts and chef who were born in Racha. An ancient legend tells, "When G-d divided the earth into the nations of the world, the Georgians were too busy eating and drinking, and arrived too late. They invited G-d to join them and so He gave them the land He had been saving for Himself".The restaurant proudly continues the Georgian tradition of plenty and infinite hospitality. On the premises are two luxurious bars, one for smoking, serving authentic Georgian tapas to satisfy every palate. We invite you to be part of this extraordinary experience combining fine food and sumptuous drink. The restaurant holds events with up to 100 guests.Owner name : Lily , Traditional Georgian Cuisine

“Feels like home”

We were just there this week and loved it. it feels like you are in someone's home and surrounded by family. The food just kept coming and every course was better than the last. Finally, the toast. Lily gave one of us a glass horn full of wine and explained a custom in a Georgian home - one person toasts a guest at the table and then every other guest toasts that same person. When all the toasts are completed, the original toaster drinks the wine in the horn. From start to finish, the dinner was really terrific.

“Not bad”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Well, first of all the food is Georgian and not Armenian as it stated on TA.
The setting is nice , a combination of authentic and modern. We were the on a kind of a slow night so the place was empty, therefore we did not really enjoy any kind of special atmosphere. The service was good and attentive.
The food is of typical Georgian kind (so if you don't like it , the place is not for you) - it is good and tasty , but not exceptional for a Georgian restaurant .
We heard that on bussy nights the place offers nice experience - unfortunately we did not have one . Maybe next time

We went there for our anniversary. Racha has a great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. We're looking forward to go again.
