the hotel is very, very, very outdated. from the gross and dirty bathroom, to the gross hallway the only upside to this place is it's location and it's cheap. the people behind the front desk were rude and obnoxious and had probably never heard of the term customer service before. next time i'm in israel its worth the extra money to stay in the inbal or the new mamila hotel. bottom line - good hotel in the mid 90's, awful in 2012. oh, also the hotel smelled awful.

Room Tip: do yourself a favor and stay at a real hotel

Dear Mr Aviv.
We would like to thank you and your management staff for all your excellent and attentive service. All our needs and requests were met with a smile. The staff on the front desk, cleaning, and dining room were very helpful and all the meals we enjoyed there were delicious. It was a pleasure to spend our week in Jereusalem in your hotel. We are proud to be timeshare holders in Lev Yerushalayim and look forward to returning soon.
Yours sincerely

Room Tip: Choose a room with a patio. It's good to sit out there at night

Not much to write home about here. Room was big but drastically outdated. Bathroom seemed dirty because it was so old. The bed was not super comfortable but sufficient. No free Internet was a let down. Probably wouldn't recommend this to someone wanting a really NICE place to stay. This is more for the budget traveler who needs a place to sleep instead of relax. The location was very good though. Very close to all the shops and a short walk to the tram stop and the old city (about 20 minutes). Overall, just an average place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel 3 times over the past few years. It is an apart-hotel and its main attraction is that it is at the T-junction of King George Street and Ben Yehuda Street, which is one of the main streets in Jerusalem for shopping and for restaurants.
The hotel is a tall building with two elevators, a large reception area, large breakfast/ dining room and settee/ comfortable easy chairs. This is a kosher hotel, so the crockery is mainly plastic in the rooms but not in the dining area. As we had booked room only, but decided one day to eat breakfast, there was a charge.
The rooms are pleasantly furnished. Ours had a small kitchen, microwave, kettle, tea & coffee, a bedroom, bathroom, dining table/ 4 chairs/ living room with TV and settee. Very clean and tidy. No problem asking for extra towels, etc.
Taxi ranks very close by as is public transport. If you cannot manage stairs outside, there is another alternative to KG street, at the street at the back (or front?)) of the hotel which leads to a large courtyard. Most taxi drivers take you to the non-stairway entrance for obvious reasons if you have luggage.
There is an internet corner in the reception area, but I do not know the charges.
We had booked at the Avital - see my review - but changed to the Lev for the following week-end's stay. Visited the hotel to check availability and cost, then booked through internet for a better deal .Check on-line and telephone direct - you may find the on-line booking more reasonable.

Room Tip: If you arrive on a Friday, bear in mind that all the shops close early about 3-4pm. There is a littl...

I have been returning here twice a year for ten years. The service is excellent, the staff is extremely accommodating, and they have definitely made Lev Yerushalayim a home away from home.

Add the great location in the heart of Jerusalem, and the comfortable size if the suites and I highly recommend Lev Yerushalayim to everyone.

Excellent location. Front Desk staff very friendly and helpful around the clock. Very basic furnishing in suite - vinyl floors, 1 sleeper couch for loung furniture, plastic garden chairs for dining area.. Crockery/kitchen utensils supplied on payment of US$35 due to kosher requirements. Rooms serviced daily but really do need some deep cleaning rather than the superficial wipe down given. As an RCI Exchange it was okay in terms of cost but not the usual RCI facility standard. If we'd paid the advertised rack rate it would have been a very overpriced in my opinion. Overall acceptable and we had a pleasant stay. Do some value for money comparisons before you make a decision.

Room Tip: Street noise late into the night. Go high up and ask to face the square and not King George St. Reme...

Great location and good value if traveling with more then 2 people as the rooms are mostly 2 room suites with small kitchenettes/fridge etc. Great quality breakfast with lots of choices, fresh salads and fruits.
