The hospitality and a food buffet that was served was superb. The hotel is very well situated walking distance from the old city. We left after snacking and walked through the old city, ending up at a second location, but this was a great start!

We booked at the last minute thru booking.com, came to the hotel and they did not receive the confirmation. However IRIS, the front desk manager saw the reservation on my ipad and went ahead with the reservation, even though the rate was less than half the going rate. She was wonderful in every way possible!!!!!!! When it came time to check out, she had figured out the mix up caused by booking.com, spoke with her supervisor and was able to get us an excellent rate - not as low as the rate we thought we had gotten but still more than fair.
My only slightly negative is the breakfast - not that anyone left hungry, but not what you expect from an israeli breakfast. Also remember that if you stay Friday night, dinner is included too. The walk to the old city is an easy one and takes about 15 minutes. I would definitely stay here again!
thank you IRIS!!!!!!

Came to Israel for business and lucked into this hotel. Room was clean and the girls at the front desk gave great recommendations for food and entertainment. Within 5 min walk of old city and train stop.

Eldan deserves high marks on Location, Room Cleanliness & Service. Based on a 2-night experience, matched for Price it seems that we could find no better deal. An easy decision for a tourist. Breakfast is not to be skipped.

The Eldan Hotel has the best location in Jerusalem, walking distance to the Old City and to the shopping areas of the new city. The Staff is extremely nice and helpful. The room is not large but very clean , the bed is comfortable . The breakfast is adequate and their cappucino is very good.
We loved our stay, we felt at home.

Really well located hotel and well good value for money. A quick walk to the old city through the mall walkway. The rooms were small but all you need if you are out and about anyway. The location was nice and quiet, street quietened down at night. The bathroom was a bit smelly but we just shut the door, I think its an old city sewerage issue though rather than a hotel cleanliness issue. Otherwise the rooms were very clean and tidy, beds comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent -in fact probably the best breakfasts I have every had in a hotel! Eldan also have a rental car company next door which meant a quick transition to self-drive so we could have a look around Israel.

Room Tip: probably higher up rooms would be quieter

We do not spend much time in hotel rooms so we wanted a clean hotel with a good location. The Jaffa Gate and Mamilla shopping area are within a short walk. The friendly staff, free WiFi, and delicious breakfast were bonuses. We were happy with our decision to stay there.
