“Great location, nice hotel and value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

The Dan Boutique hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Old City and close to the German Colony, Cinematheque, and a number of other restaurants. It was just far enough away to get out of the chaos and is fairly convenient to most places. The staff was courteous, helpful, and the hotel was very clean and well-kept. Breakfast was great. Only downside is that wifi was only available in the lobby unless you pay for it, and the rate was fairly high.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Old City

Dear Bill W,
Thank you so much for the review; it is comments such as these that assist other travelers in making decisions.
Indeed, whilst we may not be AS central as other hotels, we find our little corner overlooking Jerusalem, perfect for short walks into the Old city or recreation centres.
Our unique, personalized service is a signature that guests return for, year after year and we hope you'll do the same.
Furthermore, wifi service is complementary in public areas of all our hotels and a service that is constantly being discussed.
Looking forward to welcome you back,
with regards,
Shimrit Ohana

We were delighted that the hotel gave us two rooms beside each other as it was great to have our 3 children in the room next door. We found the hotel to be quiet, clean and very comfortable .The Hotel's Israeli Breakfast was so good and offered many delicious fresh foods.
It was only a short walk in the evening to Emek Refaim Street where there are so many top class restaurants offering menus from all over the world. We booked a taxi recommended by the Hotel to bring us to various places of interest and having felt very relaxed with these two drivers named Yaacov i and his partner Menachem we engaged them to take us on a day tour of the Dead Sea area including, Tour of Massada, a camel ride, visit to a Spa, visit to Ahava Dead Sea mineral factory and swimming in the Dead Sea.This was so much fun and we could not have done so much travelling on our own in a short time. We can highly recommend Yaacov and Menachem taxi services to anyone needing Taxi transport at the Dan
All our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dan Boutique and would stay there again.

I have been in quite a lot of different hotels in Israel, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed the stay at Dan Boutique Jerusalem the most. The location of the hotel is excellent, it is close enough to the old city to get there by walking. The hotel also has great service, the staff helped me with every question and request I had. I also enjoyed the billiard table in the lobby of the hotel. I will definitely come to this hotel again on my next visits to Jerusalem, highly recommended.

On the plus side: The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and we had an excellent view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Also, the free breakfast was bountiful. On the negative side: The hotel is a bit out of the way. It is about a 20 minute walk up and down hills to the Old City and a 20 minute walk to the German Colony. Additionally, free Internet was only available in the lobby; an inconvenience on the Sabbath.

rather larger hotel, but still cosy with a friendly, attentive atmosphere and a helpful staff. the location (some 15 minutes of easy walk to jaffa gate) is great, and given the reasonable pricing and bargains they offer, it makes it probably a best choice for both business travellers and tourists in (which was our case) jerusalem.
spacious, clean room with cafemaker, good breakfast (included), free parking and free wifi in the lobby. in the rooms, you have to pay additional fee for wifi, which makes me to subtract one point in the services. other than this - just perfect.

Room Tip: no special idea.

Last month we stayed at the Dan Boutique Hotel in Jerusalem - our 9th stay in Israel. Best hotel we have tried till today. For sure this will now be our base for each visit to Jerusalem.
Great value for money- intimate - cosy - great service.
