I have been coming to Jerusalem for a number of years and I must tell you that the INBAL hotel is the best in Jerusalem. Yes there are other "fancier" hotels... others that have a higher "status rating" possibly , BUT you can not beat the service at the INBAL. It is a smaller hotel compared to the new hotel in the city but the staff is OUTSTANDING. The rooms are fabulous. The food is DELICIOUS, with wait staff going out of their way to fill your coffee every 5 mins is you want , bring you something if not on the breakfast buffet. The gym is great , the pool is clean open early and the staff there again is ready to just be at your service.
The bell man, the front desk staff I can not say enough about this hotel. STAY THERE, I promise you the best time. AND , oh i forgot the executive lounge... TOTALLY THE BEST.
Great wine , food, newspaper, great sofas... , a roof top setting where you can sit at tables, have a glass of wine, or soda, and overlook the old city... STAY THERE!!!!!

Room Tip: Get access to the EXec Lounge!! dont miss that

Just like to say we've returned from a 5 day stay at the Inbal. The customer service was superb -the management team i dealt with, George, Nurit and Joanne were all excellent. The investment in the hotel is obviously at a very high level, it looked in great shape. The new "balloon" over the swimming pool is brilliant - great to have such a facility in Jerusalem in winter.

The hotel is billed as a boutique hotel. It's not! It's a Howard Johnson's at best.
The "Executive Room" was basic
The television was installed in an impossible angle - unusable.
The location is far from attractions and shopping.
I stayed there over a weekend. Most of the occupants were religious families with tons of young kids that were roaming the lobby and screaming all day.
I had to wait more than 20 minutes for a breakfast table.
Overall, the hotel is clean and pleasing but the boutique price was unjustified. There are better hotels in Jerusalem that are priced at half this rate.

Dear Guest

Thank you for caring and for bringing your concerns to our attention . I would like to address some of your comments. Our executive floor was recently refurbished and has state of the art rooms equipped with all the comforts for the executive traveler and meets all five stars requirements . The location of the hotel is a 5 minutes walk from the Old City and a 3 minutes walk from the Mamila mall with elegant shopping. On the weekend you spent here, the hotel was full and hectic and i regret that this was not what you had expected. However, all hotels throughout the world, are sometimes full and very busy.

Kind Regards,

Shlomit Ferber

My family and I recently spent ten days at the Inbal Jerusalem Hotel. We found the service to be fantastic and the staff exceptional. Everybody from the front desk to the dining staff and beyond provided excellent service. This hotel is also very family friendly; we are very pleased with our stay and would be happy to return and recommend to others.

The Inbal staff is excellent, they do their best. But the owners or top management, somebody, decided it was acceptable for a 5-star hotel to keep the hotel open and give no warning to guests about major renovations that caused horrific noise.

That decision showed a basic disregard for the well-being of guests. Inexcusable.

Dear Guest
Thank you for your review. Our guest’s comments are invaluable to us, as they are our guidelines for monitoring and further improving the services we offer our guests. I apologize if we fell short on this occasion.
The inbal hotel strives for excellence, inevitably leading to refurbishments and upgrades. We try to ensure that we minimize the disruption to our guests by carrying out work during times when the majority of guests are out of the hotel. Unfortunately, this may not be always the case and we apologize that this seemed to cause unsatisfactory disturbance for you.

We hope that your overall experience in Israel was positive and pleasant and look forward to
welcome you back on your next visit at which time you will be able to appreciate and enjoy the improvements made .

Kind Regards,
Shlomit Ferber.

We stayed in the Inbal hotel for a wide family weekend, during January 2014. We found a very clean and well-kept hotel, with a unique service. The variety of food in the dining room is not so large, as expected from a 5 star hotel, but every item was excellent.
The only BIG Cons that we found in the hotel, is the small rooms, small windows and/or small balcony that is not expected in such a hotel.
In the bottom line - the overall service, atmosphere, location and dining room over take the small room.

Room Tip: ask for the "De-Lux" rooms on the corner of the corridor and you will get the biggest ones...

We were not too well informed about Jerusalem Hotels when the booking at the Inbal Jerusalem Hotel was made, but the web site made it look very attractive. When we arrived, the reception was warm and efficient and the Hotel nothing short of impressive. As we had an executive room, one could have snacks and breakfast in the executive lounge, which was quite convenient and offered the opportunity to go out to enjoy lovely elevated views over the city. One possible drawback of the executive option is that the breakfast is quite limited and I believe that the general breakfast is probably preferable. The room was attractive, clean and comfortable and we had a lovely stay. It is centrally located and a short walk from many of the major attractions.
