The hotel is located at a very convenient location across the street from King David (where Obama stayed). Be sure to go up to the the top of the tower if you're there. If you're into bull market high tea, you can always walk across the street for a more pricey coffee and pastries.
Nonetheless, the hotel is over 80 yr old, hence you can expect the facilities to be very basic. The rooms are very worn and the hallway reminds me of "The Shining". If you stay at the YMCA Three Arches, remember not to bring too many pieces of luggage. The elevator there is very tiny and it will take you ages to get all the luggages up/down.
That didnt really matter for me because I spent most of my time exploring Jerusalem and other areas. The bed at the YMCA was quite comfortable, so thats all that mattered to me.
