We spent 4 nights in this wonderful hotel full of tradition and atmosphere. It is an hotel with a real personality nice bedroom with a lot of facilities specially the bed lining of high quality both matress, duvet and duvet cover. We have booked to rooms a standard and a superior both were good quite and well equiped.
Very good lounge with antique forniture, an hotel like this should care a little bit more the tidiness of the bedrroms, the room has been tide up only once a day, i wolde have preferred the room has been tide up, and get the room ready for the bed.
A special note to the wonderful breakfast reach of food and aslo quality,
The receptioniost very gentle, we could receive a dinner on saturday very late and they organized a dinner.
The only concern is about the room not very well cleaned and tide up , and an hotel like this shoud have the second cleaning in the evening

Room Tip: we got a suprior room facing on the car parking this was very quite, and a standard on the other sid...

I was recently in Jerusalem and I stayed with my girlfriend at this hotel for one night.
First of all the place looks incredibly nice. There is a yard in the middle of it with a fountain and trees and it's really pleasant to sit there and relax.
The room we took wasn't a suite or anything, but it still felt very luxurious. Meticulously clean with a comfortable bed, big windows and a nice bathroom.
The breakfast buffet at the hotel was really great too. They had all kinds of baked breads, salads, cheeses and meats. I normally eat a light breakfast but I really stuffed myself.
Anyways, the hotel is perfectly located very close to the Old City and if you can afford it you won't regret the stay!

Room Tip: There's a minaret just outside the Hotel. I spoke with someone from Sweden who woke up from the...

This is not a regular hotel as this place is linked to history. The Arabic style is combined with interactions with Turkish and British eras affected in good manner the place. Management of the place didn't only depend on that but produced a hotel with very good service. Rooms are great mine room 55 was next to laundry closet and thus noisy and as early as 7 AM. The bed and mattress could be better and not over used yet not that bad. Breakfast is good and very convenient.

Room Tip: Room 55 is noisy yet most of the rooms are good

What a wonderful hotel! We had a celebration and I asked the hotel by mail to have some wine, fruit ect. ready for us. I never got a confirmation but never the less it was there at our arrival! And they only charge for the wine
Best breakfast with all kinds of goodies and the best bread. A very nice bar were they served a light snack with drinks.

Room Tip: We booked a Pascha De Luxe room which had a a private patio - very nice.

The American Colony is truly a classic Jerusalem landmark with style, character and understated luxury. Our recent five night stay was in a superior room in the main building. The rooms are clean, comfortable and decorated with period furnishings with modern amenities. The staff were all friendly, professional and provided subtle service without being overbearing. Our room was in the main building overlooking the pool. Since it was off season and the pool was closed, there was little activity or noise from below. The only noise issue was from the call to prayer from the mosque adjoining the property. Although a bit disconcerting at first, we became used to it and found it actually contributed to a unique stay. The breakfast in the Arabesque Restaurant was plentiful and delicious and the staff very accommodating. A stay at The American Colony is truly a remarkable experience I would recommend.

A true unique and unparalleled hotel. Polite & helpful staff.
Very quiet and tranquil, full of charm, style and history. The bathroom floor was heated which was a very nice added value.

A fabulous hotel with the most stunning bathroom in our junior suite. Lovely food prepared by staff well able to cope with my gluten free, non-meat diet. Breakast in the garden was a particularly calm start to our sight-seeing.

Room Tip: The junior suite was well worth the additional money with it's enormous sunken bath and walk in...
