My husband, son and I spent three nights at the Prima Kings in late May. We found the hotel to be in a great location especially near the Old City. The people
at the front desk and the bellmen were very helpful. Shmulic, the concierge was
especially great as he gave us suggestions for restaurants, sightseeing, etc. He
was extremely knowledgeable and helped us whenever we needed him. The only
issue we had with the Prima Kings was that our rooms faced the main street and
the traffic made it noisy.

Prima Kings is an excellent boutique hotel in the heart of Jerusalem. The service is excellent beginning with Achmed the chief bellman, to Shmulic the manager who is attentive to the needs of the guests. This is our favorite hotel for family visits as well as business trips to Jerusalem.

The lobby is delightfully with fresh flower arrangements, comfortable seating with a panorama view of the Rehavya neighborhood and wonderful cappuccino or your favorite beverage prepared by Said. Every evening a pianist fills the lobby with beautiful music. There is free wi-fi in the lobby.

The food in the nicely appointed dining room is delicious, abundant, and varied; guests are welcomed by Schwickie, the manager and served promptly and courteously by the wait-staff. Coffee is served at all three meals (an unusual bonus uncommon in most Israel hotels). The Shabbat meal is joyous. Most of the Prima Kings employees have served the hotel for several years an indication of its exceptional management.

The location of Prima Kings is ideal. Both the Old City and Ben Yehuda Street are an easy walking distance. The surrounding Rehayva neighborhood (where the Prime Minister's home is located) is beautiful and safe for evening strolls. There are several ATM/banks nearby, as well as kiosks and a grocery store.

The rooms, many with balconies, are not large but are well appointed and clean. The clientele is a wonderful mixture of Israelis visiting Jerusalem and international tourists.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room.

Stayed here for the 1st 3 nights of a group tour to Israel. 2 of them were during Shabbat. Only 1 elevator worked during that time. They are small elevators and can only hold 2 people. The front desk people were not to friendly and very rude especially I think Nasser or some splling like that. Dina was the only nice on there. I paid extra for an upgrade and to get 3 things in my room. I told the front desk about them and they claim they were never notified about them. Someone else received my room. The food was just oK. Saturday morning shabbat breakfast was yucky, the coffee was gross, it was instant and the water wasn't hot from the machine and it was gross, there were limited items due to it being shabbat. They had stale blintzes, hard cakes a few other things that left little to the imagination. Lunch not better. Dinner after shabbat was OK. The rooms were OK. My window faced a nice waterfall, the balcony was a pretty good size. If I wasn't on a tour I wouldn't have chosen this hotel to stay at.

My company has been coming to the Prima Kings for years. The hotel is centrally located in Jerusalem and easy to walk to the Old City, Ben Yehuda Street or the German Colony. The rooms are quiet and clean. The lobby is comfortable and filled with people every evening. There is excellent energy, helped pleasantly along by the live piano every night.

The food in the dining room has wide a wide variety to choose from and is quite tasty. Above all these things, however, is the service. Many of the people working in the hotel have been here since our company began coming here ten years ago. They are helpful to new comers, friendly and extremely professional. If you come, keep your eye out for Shweke, the floor manager. He is quick to smooth out any problems you might have and is excellent at making you feel at home. Sa'id, behind the coffee bar in the lounge, is outstandingly friendly and makes a great cup of coffee. He is like a bar tender from an old movie. There are many more people who make the stay enjoyable, but those two stick out especially. Again, the service at Prima Kings makes it stand head and shoulders above any other hotel I've stayed at in Israel. I always look forward to my stay here.

As everyone points out, this hotel is in the perfect place. The old city is in (borderline) walking distance in one direction, and the center of the new city is close enough in the other.

One small problem which you should know about in advance: They don't have their own parking lot. You can pay by the day or whatever in the parking lot of the Leonardo Plaza across the street, but this might be inconvenient with a lot of luggage. Maybe the hotel would send someone to help you, but we didn't ask.

They do in fact have a shul open all day, at least, though they don't have any of their own minyanim, at least on weekdays. However, there are plenty of shuls (Heichal Shlomo, the Great Synagogue of Jerusalem next to it, etc.) almost next door.

We first reserved for half-board, but the meat-based supper was in the style and spirit of a school cafeteria, even if the execution and the quality of the ingredients was somewhat better. (The beef we had did taste like pre-injected beef, though.). We then switched to breakfast-only. The Israeli breakfast wasn't the best I've ever had, and the omelettes and scrambled eggs were both blah with a vengeance, but most of the food was good and some was interesting. I've never before seen stuffed vine leaves in a cream and sweet pepper sauce for breakfast, and there were also some unusual herring salads, in addition to the usual. In addition to the usual flavored and 'real' yoghurts, there was also some kind of homemade frothy stuff along the same lines which was very good.

All of the supposedly different types of coffee served with breakfast were just plain awful - weak and charred - though very good cafe creme is available in the lobby bar for most of the day.

Everything was clean, if not luxurious, and everything worked. We'll very probably go back, but only on a bed and breakfast basis. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel before. Its big plus is its position; as close to the centre of town as you're likely to get. Reception staff a little disinterested but this is common in Israel. Large, comfortable lobby and lounge area. It sits at a busy road junction. We know the traffic noise can be an issue. I advise taking a room at the rear and on a high floor. Room was a little small, especially the bathroom. Well equipped, nice and clean. The whole place, bar the dining area, is a touch dated but nothing terrible. On balance it's good value for money because of its excellent location.

Room Tip: Make sure when you book you ask for a quiet room. Probably best to take a room at the back of the ho...

A well located hotel within walking distance to several interesting places, even for me who cannot walk very well or far. The breakfast buffet was marvellous! The room and bathroom large. I was astonished there was traffic all night, it did not stop me from sleeping but I heard when I was awake from other reasons. They were changing the carpets in the rooms which was a good idea. I would like to stay there next time in Jerusalem. I did not use either the swimmingpool or the fitness center.

Room Tip: The room towards King George Street has a fantastic view through the window, eastwards, with the sun...
