We loved the David Citadel. Our room was large, bright, and had a great view, overlooking the pool and the Old City. Service was excellent: attentive and polite. Breakfasts good, but not great (the breakfast at Tel Aviv's Intercontinental had much more variety).

Internet service is free- a welcome plus--but spotty. It went out several times during our stay, necessitating signing in multiple times and having several down times.

The location is terrific: around the corner from the new mall which leads to the Old City. Would be happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are best. The opposite side looks out over nothing.

we spent two nights / three days in this "so called" luxury hotel.
in the restauratns - near the pool we have been waiting over an hour !!! to get ready dishes on saturday , on breakfast they organize private Bar Mitzva and not got ready with enough places for hotel guests - so they placed us to eat in the lobby.
we were promissed 7 !!! times that the extra bed is coming to have 18 hours delay!!!
and finally we were charged 180$ extra because of beurocratic procedures in the hotel.
worst expereince we had in Jerusalem ever !!!

Room Tip: make yourself a favour and do not go there

Had an amazing time in Israel & the David Citadel best place to stay! With my inlaws & my children this was fantastic! Our breakfasts were greeted each day with a charming, friendly & amazing server Yuseff! It was a great way to start each amazing day! The pool, rooms & food was great! I got blow outs for my hair in the salon in hotel & Sara was the best! All in all a great vacation!

Today is the last of our 4 days at the David Citadel. From the Azia view of the Old City, spacious rooms, clean crisp spaces and very attentive staff.

The Israeli breakfast is second to none. Look for Yussef a tall elegant strapping fellow and sit in his section. He is fantastic with kids and is engaging. He provides attentive yet not overbearing service. We dined every morning with him and he started our day in fantastic fashion.

The pool is small by American standards and is packed. Be sure to get up early (8am) and towel your chairs if you plan to spend a day by the pool, but your in Jerusalem not Maimi and there is far to much todo besides the pool.
