“Great location-Great Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2010

We had a good experience here. Our room was a bit small and somewhat dated, but we weren't there much, so it worked. It's in a good location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good, and the food service was good as well. However, we were spoiled with the Dan in Tel Aviv. Too bad we were there first, as the food there was hard to match. Regardless, we would stay there again and would recommend the Dan properties.

This is a great hotel and in a fantastic location for exploring Jerusalem.

The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, comfy and traditionally presentable and the breakfast is good. Parking is provided to the rear of the Hotel for a small fee.

This Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Jaffa gates. When we return we would definitely consider revisiting this hotel.

the dan panorama is in a great location and walking distance to most places, the customer service could be improved the front desk people were rude and showed it to the point we would wait till the lovely man came on to ask questions or to seek help , yet the food staff were very helpful and nice . The breakfast was amazing and a great way to start the day with a variety to chose from dinners their were yum too. The room was comfortable and the cleaning staff always did a good job , We had a load of washing that was stupidly priced to get done . the gift shop was not reliable in when it opened and when it was the guy would change the prices on the same item so felt ripped (stamps). we used the salon in the hotel and that was a treat and we were able to use the carmel lounge and that was great with the use of internet ,a range of drink and a variety of nibbles that we didnt have to pay for.

This hotel is in a good location. That is it. When we arrived late at night the lady on the front desk did not even look up and greet us. The room was dark tired and in need of renovating. The breakfast room was tired and depressing. There is a staff shortage on the front desk. The family room is a joke. A fold out sofa for 2 children to share.
We moved the the Inbal which was delightful in every way. Staff rooms location and clean.

The hotel staff was always accomodating and helpful with our requests. The breakfasts are outstanding with a beautiful array of many salads, cheeses, breads, eggs and other items. You cannot ask for a better location as we could walk everywhere - to the Kotel, Ben Yehuda and the German Colony. Loved it!

I visit Jerusalem and Tel Aviv a couple of times a year and this time I chose to stay for the first time at the Dan Panorama Jerusalem.
My visit was phenomenal even though there were renovations that I didn't even notice.
From the front desk staff that had answers to all my needs as for family tours, restaurant reservations or the smallest requests, to cleaning staff that cleaned my room and left all my things in the room as I left them and yet the room was spotless.
The breakfasts were amazing - fit for a king & queen, there was such a variety that I didn't know what to choose from, as for the dining room staff they remembered what I liked and as I sat down two minutes later I had everything on my table.
I definitely will return to this hotel and recommend it to all my friends & family.

We recently stayed seven nights in the Dan Panorama Hotel but I would not recommend staying more than two nights and I will probably never stay in a Dan Panorama Hotel ever again. Basically, I think that Customer Service would make all the difference in this hotel…for example the pool was closed for the season, the restaurant was closed for renovation, the gift shops were almost never open, the four computers with internet access (1 NIS/minute) almost never worked, the breakfast room changed daily, the front desk staff was completely unresponsive, but I have to admit housekeeping did a great job. Also if you request any type of basic room service don’t expect to receive it…I requested a larger blanket at the front desk at 2:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and then I finally bought a larger blanket (100 NIS) in the Old City so that I could sleep better during my week stay. In conclusion, if you want to stay in an expensive hotel ($184 USD/night) with limited services, unresponsive staff, and don’t care about paying for this quality of Customer Service…then I highly recommend this hotel for your next vacation.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on your stay with Dan Panorama Jerusalem. We appreciate your kind words about our housekeeping. We were of course very sorry to hear that you experienced some inconvenience during your stay.

The pool located on the 8th floor is an outdoor pool and is closed during winter (October - April). As for the hotel restaurant, it is open daily 10:00 a.m. - 23:00 p.m. despite the renovations.

We are doing our best for the benefit of our guests and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope that you will visit our hotel again and enjoy our improved services and renovated lobby and dinning room.

Sincerely,

The Management
