But even the best rooms are a bit small, crampy. There are no fridges in the rooms. IN a hot climate if you bring water you have to drink it right away or it will warm up.

Staff in Reception are excellent though. That is I find with all Dan hotels, great service but sometimes the product is average.

Location is the best of the Dan Hotels.

I feel like I should be writing two separate reviews, one for the hotel itself and one for the incredible service and hospitality shown to us by the executive lounge manager, Ibrahim. The hotel itself was good but our experience with Ibrahim and the executive lounge was excellent.

As others have said, there are a lot of tours that stay at the hotel which can make it quite crowded at times. We stayed in one of the executive rooms which was renovated and which I would highly recommend if you are able to do so as those rooms seem to be newer and in better condition than rooms where others in our party stayed. But best of all, staying in one of the executive rooms gives you access to the executive lounge and it's wonderful manager, Ibrahim. There is always a fresh and plentiful array of fruit and vegetables as well as cheese and crackers, nuts, homemade cake, coffee, tea, wine and soft drinks in the lounge which was helpful for when we wanted a quick, llight lunch. In addition, the lounge has free wifi and offers a really nice place to hang out if you want to relax at the hotel but not be confined to your room. This is not really an option in the lobby as it is quite busy down there. And I simply cannot say enough good things about Ibrahim and the level of service and hospitality that he shows to all of the guests!!

I have a number of food allergies and was concerned about being able to find food that I could safely eat during our stay. In other reviews on trip advisor, I had read about how helpful Ibrahim was so I called in advance to speak with him. Not only was he very helpful and reassuring over the phone, but he remembered me when I arrived at the hotel and went out of his way to do whatever he could to help. He welcomed me and my family with genuine warmth and kindness which made what would have been a good experience into a great one. Ibrahim takes tremendous pride and joy in his work and as a result, treats you as though you were a guest in his home. And that made all the difference!

I was back at the Dan Panorama in Jerusalem with a group and was well received by the warm and very helpful staff. The location is excellent for visitors to Jerusalem, but the rooms need a total renovation (though some of our rooms did have new carpet). The bathrooms are small and cannot be really used by two people at once. The lobby is busy as the hotel offers free WiFi there, a major plus.

Room Tip: Don't spend the extra money for the Executive Lounge. Not only is it open only from 1pm to 10pm...

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms are not fancy, but they were spacious, clean and quiet. Lobby was nice. Bar service was slow but fine. The front desk staff were attentive and helpful, and there were lots of little touches (beds turned down, water and chocolate in the room, watermelon by the pool, and a great view). But the breakfast is totally worth the stay. Enormous, fresh, diverse buffet and the best shakshuka I have ever had. Spicy!!!

I was very happy we wound up staying at the Dan Panorama. We were welcomed by wonderful staff. It is modern and inviting. The location is good. It is a 5-10 walk to Manilla mall. However to Jaffa gate and Ben Yehuda a taxi is needed or a 20-30 min walk.
The breakfast is amazing...so fresh, flavorful, traditional, and interesting.
The room was spacious especially by Israel standards. It was clean, modern and beautiful.
There isn't wifi in the rooms which frustrating.
The price is on the higher side but appropriate to the experience.
Would stay again

The Dan Pan seem like a good value based on the prices of other "five star" hotels in Jerusalem. To be fair I have not stayed anywhere else in the city but I am not sure I would consider it a "five star" property. While some of the hotel does seem to need some updating it certainly was clean and met our needs. We stayed in a "famly room" with our 11 and 13 year old kids. It was a little tight but comfortable enough for us for an entire week's stay.
The location is perfect with some excellent restaurants within a 2 to 10 minute walk and about 20 minutes to the Jaffa gate.
All the staff were willing to help with restaurant reservations and directions.

I have stayed here several times and it is still a great value in Jerusalem...although it is starting to look a little tired and in need of some updating.
Location is excellent; an easy walk to the main tourist areas and 20 minutes to the old city on foot.
Staff is friendly and helpful--even if they did send me to the Prime Minister's Residence instead of the President's--but otherwise had a good sense of customer service.
Pool is small and nothing special.
Breakfast is typical Israel hotel, but with a wide selection at two identical buffets.
For those not needing the luxury experience, the Dan Panorama is a great choice.
