I stayed for a week, and by far the best part of the hotel is the business center. The business center is a nice place to relax, the food is good, and it is comfortable. Ibrahim, the business center host is fantastic and he is extremely helpful. He took customer service seriously and made my experience at the hotel better. I also liked the hotel gym.

I recently had the pleasure of a week long stay at the Dan Panorama Jerusalem. Nicely located with comfortable rooms and plentiful quality breakfast. But what makes the Dan truly special is the friendly, professional, and attentive staff. The restaurant staff was very accommodating but the real standout was the staff in the business center. Ibrahim in particular made the Center a relaxing place to unwind after a hard day of work (or touring if that's your purpose). The Center is definitely worth the extra cost.

I do not normally write reviews but the experience here was such as I felt it necessary to warn others. We arrived in our room to find torn curtains -- looked as if someone had taken a knife and torn them horizontally. I know management stated in previous reviews that maintenance checks every room regularly but this is obviously not the case as there is no way one could have missed these torn curtains. This ended up being the least problem with room. Every surface in the room was covered in dust. It was obvious the tables, lamps, etc were never dusted. The carpets were old, dirty, and in terrible need of a good vacuuming. The bathroom countertops had been painted and were chipped and flaking all over the place. The shower head was put in the side of the tub. The worse was when we checked the sheets. One bed had hair all in the sheets and the other looked as if someone had used the bathroom in the middle of the bed. We immediately went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. He came and wanted to see the rooms. He was very rude and acted very put out that we complained about dirty sheets. We told him we would like a different room. He stated that all he could do was have the sheets changed in our room as the hotel was full. While all of this was going on we had also contacted out local tour guide who had booked the hotel. We left to go eat dinner while they "cleaned" the room. During that time our tour guide called and all the sudden the manager had new room to give us (I thought they were full) and was much nicer. He told the tour guide that he put us in the wrong room type. Why should his attitude change just because our tour guide called? Does that mean that only certain customers matter? That once he figured out we booked with a certain group we all the sudden mattered. I will admit the next room was much newer and somewhat cleaner. The sheets were at least clean. The carpet still needed to be vacuumed. Every day they failed to give us necessary item. One day it was no washcloths, the next it was the mat for the tub. We never had the robes and slippers that others had in their rooms.

The rest of the hotel. The front desk staff was not very friendly. I heard one customer ask to speak to the manager and the front desk actually refused to call the manager. Keep asking her why she wanted to speak to the manager. When she explained why she wanted to speak to the manager they told her they had answered her question and that she did not need to speak to a manager. I was appalled that a front desk personal would refuse to contact a manager if a customer wanted to talk to a manager. The buffet was average. The location was acceptable but there were many hotels just as close or closer. There was a kiosk that stated it had airline check-in. I used it the system and was all the way to printing my boarding pass. The system gave me a print error. The system was located right next to the front desk which is where I thougt the boarding pass would print off. I asked the front desk staff and was informed that the kiosk doesn't print boarding passes. Why would a hotel have an airline check in station that does not print boarding passes. What is the point? Why not have a sign stating it does not print boarding passes insteading of allowing customers to waste time going through the check in process to only find out there is no way to print. No attention to the details.

Room Tip: Another hotel.

This was our best stay although we have been to this hotel at least 30 times over 17 years. The room on the Executive floor was very good but what makes this hotel special is the staff. Attentive, polite, friendly and professional yet always time to spend a few minutes to talk to you. Fabulous Israeli breakfast as good as it gets. Situated in a very good position to walk to many of Jerusalems sights. All in all, no reservations and we will book again.

Room Tip: Upper floors very good. Numbers aound x23 - x26 away from lelevators.

Stayed for 5 nights last week. Decent location....nice that there was quick free wifi in the lobby.... Breakfast buffet was good but not great. The rooms are kind of darkish....need refurbishing. (wished it to be more westin like). The oddest thing was that the elevators had 2 doors. One led into the main hallway and the other led into a 1950's looking service hallway....dirty dishes...garbage...laundry...and you have to navigate your way out of that area. Is there not some kind of switch the hotel can turn so that guests don't have to see that area? And only have the door open to the Qin hallway? That would never ever happen in a 4 star in other parts of the world. front desk staff was excellent and the beds were comfy. Bathroom small but modern. Although my review may sound positive...,there is a bit of an ick factor ...enough that I would pay more next time for a higher end place.

This Dan Panorama gets our high scores for an exceptionally welcoming and attentive staff and for its outstanding breakfast buffet (Vladimir served up savory omelets and perfectly crisped pancakes). The friendliness of the front desk teams, the bellmen, and the housekeeping staff were a cut above: greetings in the hallway, answering questions, making arrangements, frequently but not imposingly inquiring about our satisfaction.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Old City of Jerusalem afford spectacular views, particularly as the sunrise silhoue...
