First off, the hotel claims to have an address on King George, I assume because that is better than Rabbi Avida Street, which is where the hotel actually is, it is only on King George, if you walk up a long and winding path.

The room we were in was poorly appointed. as examples: the hair dryer was screwed into a dresser drawer in the main room, as opposed to being in the washroom, where it might be usable. there were absolutely no electric sockets in the washroom at all. The room fridge had been moved from its correct location to inside an unventilated closet.

The worst was a room service waiter who over charged us and insisted on being paid in cash. The hotel stood by their man and made it difficult to get a refund, even though the food was inedible and unfairly priced. We ate Shabbat meals in the hotel. Friday night's meal was not hot (though i am pretty sure chicken soup is supposed to be) and fairly tasteless. The service was also quite bad, though I will allow that the service may have been a result if the storm that had hit then and not an ongoing issue.

We will never stay in a Leonardo hotel again.

Room Tip: Pick a different hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from Nov 25 - Dec 1. While the hotel is very nice and well kept, although the lack of a clock in the room drove me crazy, there is a lack of customer service. We made our reservation through a travel agent and paid for our son, who is studying in Israel, to stay in our room for the last three nights of our stay. When we checked in we confirmed that they had his reservation and the person at the desk suggested that we remind the hotel prior to his arrival. We reminded them the night before as well as that morning, each time the person at the desk argued with us that he wasn't booked in our room, ultimately to find the reservation. Whe we returnred to our room that afternoon of course we did not have the cot. I called the front dest, and was bounced around and put on hold for half an hour, while my wife went down to the desk. When my wife spoke to the desk person they argued with her that we did not have a reservation for him. After a few minutes the person realized that they had the wrong room number and had the cot sent up.
This was the least of the issues. We made arrangements to have our Friday night Shabbos meal in the hotel and we paid for four of my nephews to join us. In addition friends who were staying in the hotel joined us as well, so we had a total of 10 people at our table. When we came to the table we found the chairs stained, the table cloth torn and dirty. The staff basically threw the food at us and we practically had to beg them to refill the two water pitchers. After a while we gave up on getting any more water. While I paid a lot for this meal I really don't feel like I got my monies worth.
The next day we had lunch at the Inball, I paid a fraction of what I paid at the Plaza and the staff couldn't have been nicer to us. Their food was tastier and the water pitchers were constantly being refilled.

We had a wonderful stay at the Leonardo Plaza. Susan was especially helpful in making our stay so great. The rooms were nice, the staff very accommodating and overall, our experience was really good. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Also the location is very central which we liked a lot.
