“Average Hotel with Good Price”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

When I booked this hotel it was a lowest price for 5 star hotel in Jerusalem.
But it's old average Hotel I don't sure if it's real 5 stars it's feel like 4....
The best in this hotel it's location - it's very closed to Old City and New City.
The breakfast was poor I'm used to a better level in Israeli 5 stars hotels.

I live in Tel Aviv and went to Jerusalem for business. Reaching the hotel in my car was a problem. You have to drive more than one block past the hotel, enter a very crowded little back street with busses parked, that barely let one pass, to get to the front of the hotel. Parking is far and charged separately. People at the front desk were not very eager to check me in and there was no help with the luggage. The room was very nice and the bathroom was big enough, a huge tv and a table with fruit was a nice gesture. Breakfast the following morning was a disaster. A huge dinning room with an also huge crowd. When I finally got a table, after waiting for more than 20 minutes, it was full of leftover from who ate there before me. Leftover on the table and leftover on the buffet. I only had coffe but it got cold waiting for someone to bring a spoon. Lousy service to say the least. For a 200 dollar a day hotel, breakfast was a disgrace. I stick to my title: good hotel but...

i have stayed in this hotel for the weekend to visit my family, rooms were very spacious and clean.
staff went out of the way to provide us with all necessities.
location is fantastic! within walking distance to the center of town and the "kotel".
friday night dinner was the best dinner we have had in hotels by far.
decor is a little bit old but still very clean.
our stay couldn't be better and we will definitely be back!

Just spent a long weekend here on a trip to attend my niece's wedding. The location is fine and the rooms were spacious, beds comfy etc. But - the bathroom had mould round the sink, there was no fridge only a minibar so you couldn't keep your own food or drink cool. The food was ok but nothing special to warrant the 5 stars and the chairs in the dining room area were dirty and stained. The service was ok but again not brilliant. The pool area was quite small and the sunbeds filled up very quickly and the poolside staff practically ignored you. They also had a silly lift system where you had to call your floor number from outside and then go in the next available lift - lots of people didn't understand this and ended up getting into the lift and going 10 floors too far before having to get out and press again. Not worth the money.

First trip to Israel and I booked on hotels.com and was immediately surprised. Great location and clean and crisp bed linens. Everything I experienced was so great. Check in to check out was super. Easy to book, easy to locate. If you are like me and travel with a spontaneous urge, this kind of Hilton place was not a disappointment and was a great value. Felt safe and secure the whole time.

Room Tip: Leave the window open at night and get the wonderful, fresh air.

We stayed in Jerusalem for a week on a recent family trip. The hotel is in a great location -- near the Old City and an upscale mall and other main areas of Jersusalem where there are lots of restaurants and shopping. The pool was a plus after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Our room was small but had great lighting, which you don't often find in hotels. We were told that none of the rooms could accomodate three people, which I find hard to believe so the hotel put an extra bed into the already small room, which made it virtually impossible to walk around.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a high floor away from the elevator

Enjoyed a four night stay on the 16th floor (new city view). The hotel is very well located - just a short 10 minute walk to the Old City (Jaffe Gate). The surrounding area is perfectly secure. There's also a supermarket just around the corner where you can stock up on water etc before heading into tourist-land.

On arrival, the staff were very polite and efficient. The rooms are spacious, bright and clean. The air-con is also very effective. Some might say the decor is slightly dated i.e. 'faded grandeur' (I believe its and ex-Sheraton hotel). It's all spotlessly clean though, which matters more to me. The maid visited everyday and did and excellent job of keeping everything spotless.

The pool isn't huge, but is an added bonus if you feel like an afternoon off from wandering around the Old City in the heat. There are plenty of loungers + parasols, fresh towels and a small bar. It was not busy during my stay.

As others have reported, the hotel does seem to be undergoing some repair work at present. This did not disrupt my stay in any way. As far as I could tell, they are building/upgrading spa facilities on the lower ground floor. I wouldn't let this put you off staying in what is otherwise a great and relatively inexpensive hotel. I recommend asking for a high floor number - great views.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor
