“A Wonderful Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2014

Could not have asked for a more wonderful hotel. The location, service, quality and food were excellent. The staff could not have been better. The rooms were large with a wonderful view and the amenities in the room were terrific.

This hotel is located in a very central location.. We enjoyed room service both nights we were there and the breakfast was lovely. The room was very large with great closet space. The bathroom was huge with big fluffy towels. We look forward to going back.

Wow!! It is everything that I had expected. A beautiful historic hotel. We had a City View - very nice. Our room overlooked the pool and the Old City. Very large functional room - great closet and storage. Great service throughout the hotel - a must if you come to Jerusalem. Worth every penny. The only negative is the internet can be slow - sometimes very slow. Rent a router from the business center - you can connect up to five devices and it works all over Jerusalem.

We stayed on the recently renovated 6 th floor and were upgraded to a mini suite. It was an amazing room with a great amazing memory foam mattress. Unlike most cities, our room was a nice size with all the latest amenities. The mini fridge was always fully stocked with water and beverages and the bathroom was just wonderful. We had breakfast included and they had a wonderful variety of fruits, breads, fresh juices, eggs and whatever else you could want. Our room was also quiet which is nice in a city and we stayed here for 5 nights. The only thing that stops this hotel from perfection is the wifi.It is free in the lobby and you have to sit there as it is just too overpriced to have in your room. And of course the views of the old city are just great from the rooms.

Room Tip: Join the dan club in advance to get discounts. Floors 5 and 6 have been totally redone.

Dear Suzeyes,

Thank you for contributing a review to TripAdivsor Community on your recent stay here at The King David. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the Mini suite you stayed in. I agree, they are absolutely lovely, and are my personal favorite room category in the hotel! The reason why we provide complimentary mini-bars stocked with full drinks is because we know that after a long journey, there is nothing better than enjoying a refreshing beverage with an incredible view after settling down at the hotel. We are also pleased to read that you found our world-famous breakfast to be satisfactory. We are constantly adding more items and making it even better. Lastly, regarding the WiFi; we are all pleased to announce that wireless internet is now complimentary for all guests – not only in the lobby, but also in the rooms! We look forward to your next stay!

Warm regards,

This hotel is magnificent! The rooms are very well appointed with a lovely sitting area, plush king bed, LCD TV, desk, large closet and marble bathrooms! The best part, however, were the stunning views of the Old City Jerusalem from our window! You can clearly see all of the Old City and at night the view is without compare. Breakfast at the King David is very nice with just about any food imaginable including made to order eggs. The only downside is the wi-fi in the rooms comes with a charge. It is however free in the hotel lobby. Not convenient when you just want to check your emails, but the lobby does have some wonderful sitting areas.

Room Tip: Request the highest floor with an Old City View! It's worth every dollar!

Our stay was even better than we expected. The room was spectacular with a view of the old city. A wonderful shower and tub for after a long day of touring. Location is central to historical sights, shopping and restaurants. The ambiance throughout was filled with a sense of, and respect for, history, with the most up to date amenities. Staff was very responsive. Breakfast buffet was spectacular.

The King David Hotel is a magnificent property! It is filled with history, beauty and elegance. Our expectations were not only met but exceeded in every way! Warmth and hospitality was felt from the moment we stepped in the front doors and all through our stay. Everyone from the staff at the front desk(special thanks to Shai Fingerhut), the concierge (ask for Danny or Oded, among others) and the guest relations manager (Maya Morav)attended to our every need.
Our room was outstanding (gorgeous, most elegant decor) with every control at your fingertips from your bed (lights dimmed, curtains drawn). Amenities were wonderful(daily newspaper of you choice, drinks restocked daily)beautiful large marble bathroom(needless to say spotless!)Most of all we enjoyed the amazing view of The Old City!!!! Having a terrace was an extra treat... Stepping on to the terrace, sitting and sipping a glass of wine while looking at the Old City...
One would think you're
in heaven... No.. You just look into the short distance and realize you're in JERUSALEM!!!

Other added features of the KD include a PERFECT location, an unbelievable breakfast buffet that could not compare to any other( included in your room rate) gym and pool.
I cannot imagine coming to Jerusalem and staying anywhere else but the KD!!! Staying at the King David while in Jerusalem is a MUST...I consider it to be part of the "Jerusalem experience ".

Certainly looking forward to returning one day in the future!!!

Sidenote: Certainly worth the money...priced very well if you were to try to compare the rates to that of similar "rated " hotels in the States.
