My wife, daughter and I spent the past week here. We stayed in a mini-suite that overlooked the Old City. Every once in awhile you experience something that is perfect in every respect, and that defines our week at the King David. Our room had a bedroom with a king bed and what I think of as a living room which had a desk, chairs, a couch and a very nice roll away bed where our daughter slept. There is a foyer and a spacious bathroom. Everything in the room worked perfectly. The window opened and we could see and hear the sights and sounds of New and Old Jerusalem alike.
The breakfast/brunch was one of the highlights of our stay at King David. The food is out of this world and the service is even better. The hosts at the door and the waiters are professionals in every respect--smiles on their faces, extremely hard workers, absolutely attentive, and friendly beyond belief. If you want to experience true professionals in the service industry, go meet the hosts, waiters, concierges, desk staff, etc. at the King David. They are difference makers.
Thanks to the staff at King David for making our visit so special.
I used the fitness room and it had everything I needed. My daughter had a massage and said it was great. Make sure you take the time to view the historic photographs in the hotel. Also, watch the movie on the history of the hotel on TV.

We just completed a 13 night stay at the King David, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay there. The service is unbeatable. The staff members were very friendly and caring and did everything to make sure that all of our needs were taken care of at all times. The dining room staff were polite and accommodating. The managers made a point of personally greeting us and called us to our room to make sure that we were happy with the service. Anything we needed was brought to us right away. The accommodations were also impeccable. The decor was updated, and the room was very clean. They really treated us like royalty, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a beautiful hotel with a warm atmosphere, excellent service and impeccable accommodations.

This is a hotel of the Dan Hotel Group you will really appreciate. It has a unique position on the hill opposite of the old Jeruzalem. The building looks very mansion-like and once you enter it mixes with elegance and interior decoration of this area. The history of the hotel you will find on your tv in the room. Very good and interesting movie about it. Our room on the fith floor was very comfortable and the view on the old Jeruzalem magnifique.
The cuisine is delicious, the people who serve very polite and well. A hotel that is an experience and promises are being kept!

Dear Ms. Theresa R

Thank you for contributing your lovely review of The King David Hotel. We are delighted to hear that our hotel and staff had a role in making your stay in Jerusalem all the more enjoyable. We will continue to preserve the unique décor of our hotel, whilst constantly renewing as needed. The feature length documentary about the hotel's history is indeed mesmerizing, and even staff members who have been with us for many years always seem to discover interesting facts while watching the film. We are happy that you also found it intriguing and hope to welcome you back again soon,

Sincere regards,

While our stay at The King David is not until mid-May, at which time I will update this review, as a new e-dan member I wanted to say that my experience so far with the folks who have assisted with our reservations has been nothing short of excellent. They have been extremely accommodating and responsive.

Come May, we will see whether Joshua Merl and his staff are able to live up to the high expectations I have after reading other reviews, including delivering on the corner room request that I am told has been made on my behalf. I certainly hope so. Stay tuned!

On our many trips to Israel over the last several decades my family has had the pleasure of staying at the King David Hotel. It had been a number of years since our last stay and our visit this past week did not disappoint. We stayed in an old-city view room on the third floor that was recently refurbished keeping with my old-world charm memories of the King David infused with a contemporary air - sleek black surfaces atop rich wood cabinets, crisp bedsheets with richly colored runners and upholstery. The 120 volt outlet was a thoughtful and pragmatic touch while the ability to order room service off my phone from the dan website secures the historic establishment in the mobile age. As always we arrived to an immaculate room with a coffee table waiting with goodies - fresh cut strawberries, cookies and small bottles of perrier and local fruit juices. The staff was attentive and professional as always. Presentation in the dining rooms and restaurants was beautiful. On our last night a parting gift of wine and chocolate from Joshua Merl on behalf of the management was a sweet touch to round off a wonderful trip. I have many warm memories of the King David and it's the commitment to excellence and attention to detail that keeps us coming back. Thank you!

Room Tip: An old-city room view is always spectacular.

Dear Shelley S,

Thank you for contributing a review of your recent stay here at The King David. It is always helpful to receive feedback from the perspective of guests who have been staying with us for many years. We are delighted to read that you found the décor of your Deluxe Old City room tasteful. Indeed, the interior is designed to fuse elements of the hotel's rich past with current trends, with a prime focus on guest comfort. The digital concierge feature is relatively new, and many guests even prefer to order meals and spa treatments via their mobile devices rather than calling from the room's phone. We will continue to add many more such options for guests in today's evolving information age. As always, we were happy to make your stay all the more memorable, and look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

Beautiful room, Fantastic Views, Excellent staff!! From the minute we arrived the staff was helpful, friendly, and very accommodating. We enjoyed the history of the place as well. The staff became our friends and greeted us by name anytime we met in the lobby. The room was beautifully decorated and felt as if at home. Water was provided daily at no charge, the minibar was full at no charge as well. The entire experience compared to our stay at the Palace Hotel in St. Moritz.
We will be back!!!!!

Dear Mr. Issac S,

Thank you for your contributing a review of your recent stay at The King David Hotel. We are delighted to have read that your stay was comparable to that of other world-renowned five-star hotels in Europe. It is this very ethic of service that The King David was established to operate by, even in the 1920's when the hotel was first conceived, and our dedicated staff strives to live up to that model on a daily basis. We know that many of our guests arrive from long journeys, and that sometimes a refreshing beverage is all that's needed to put the mind and body at ease – this is one of the primary reasons we provide complimentary mini-bars for our valued guests. We hope to welcome you again in the future; greeting you by name, of course!
