Ultra luxurious hotel. Beautiful rooms, awesome pool, and excellent service. The buffet breakfast was great and the patio overlooking the pool was a great place for an evening nosh before going to sleep. Very expensive rates however we went on a tour and upgraded to the luxury hotels which was very reasonable.

Room tip: Ask for the pool side (back of the hotel) much nicer than the front which faces a street.

The King David is the perfect example of most five star hotels in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv: everything is designed to make you feel the power of money. Newly-richs love it, others find it fulll of vulgarity. If you have so much money, go spend it at East Jerusalem's racy five-star hotel "American Colony", the place where diplomats, foreign correspondents and Israeli intellectuals gather.

We highly appreciate your thorough feedback following your stay at our hotel.
However, we are quite puzzled by your remark about the character of our clientele.
In fact, about 50% of them are returning guests for a few generations.Tens of different countries are represented by our guests, on daily basis.
Besides, we regularly host the high ranking political delegations, among them Presidents and Heads of States.
I take this opportunity to assure you that our staff are consistently complimented by our guests for personalized and highly sensitive service. We would truly appreciate if you could contact us directly and explain what exactly was meant by your comment.
Thank you in advance. We hope that you will come back to stay with us and enjoy the true King David experience.
Best regards,
The Management

Highly recommended - would definately return to this hotel. The location and position of this hotel is fantastic. Service unbeatable - from check in to check out. Delicious breakfast - definately won't go hungry. Pool is just perfect for hot summers days, with chairs in the pool - love the idea of tanning and keeping cool at the same time. Room is spacious - bathrooms have double basins and thick white fluffy towels - everything you would expect from a hotel of this standard - expensive but worth the price!!!

Room tip: Try get room overlooking the old city

I was delighted by the service in the hotel. The room was fantastic. The main restaurant was amazing on Friday night. The swimming pool restaurant is now managed by a senior staffer of the (extremely well-run) main restaurant, and is now a nice place to eat and entertain. Front desk and reservations were excellent, as ever. The new pool area is great and very well run. It was great to see that the hotel's senior management listens to feedback. I look forward to seeing improvements being made to the terrace / cafe, which still lacks effective management and service. On three occasions, I sat there for over half an hour waiting to receive the menus. Room prices are not cheap, but on this occasion, I got sufficient 'bang for my bucks'.
