Try to avoid the hotel

2.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Oct 3, 2018via mobile
The service is terrible. I am waiting for more than an hour for towels. The tv control didn’t work. I have waited for two hours until I went down to the reception to change it. There are several things in the room that aren’t functioning as it should.
We are used to better food in Israeli hotels
So all I have to say is that can do better.

This property is budget priced and at the entrance of the Holy City caters to tourists as well as locals who, in our case came for the Rosh HaShannah holy days. A large section of the rooms, halls and other facilities were apportioned to the groups keeping the festival with all of its customs. Food was generous and attractive and seemingly enough for the vast numbers who seemingly filled the dining hall.

Room tip: While we were on a low floor allowing us easy access to the stairway, upper floors will provide views of Jerusalem and the surrounds.

We came to the hotel as part of a deal to New year celebration prayers, FB standard.
That was one of my bad deal I made with Kraus tourist travel organizer.
Ashkenazi got the luxury, Sfaradim got the bad places, plastic chairs, no prayer books, no Tora stands, poor hospitality.
No enought food for both groups, the BBQ was with gasoline the taste was like eating stake from car exhaust.
Positive points ware the parking, easy access location, mall Centro (also poor).
If you have bit more money go elsewhere.
TV is very small size, like PC display. Frigidaire was dirty, carpenters with stinks spots, very old coffee and milk powder.

First we stop in center bus station coming from Eilat so we don't know where to go so we find the sign of that hotel so we ask the front desk is their room aviable for that night . They very helpful they answer all our question. The room was very clean . The hotel in the middle of all transportation to old city . Next to mall and eating places.

A place to be avoided. The rooms are tired, the carpets worn, the paint peeling, the sheets don't fit the beds, the daily cleaning leaves much to be desired, and some staff are downright unhelpful. The only thing going for the place is the location which is central.
Stayed 4 nights on a B&B basis as part of a tour group. A young lady at reception on day 1 evening (27/6/18) was helpful and polite. There was also a very professional man in a jacket supervising breakfast on most mornings who was very polite. However, the one morning that he was not there, the supervisor (in a t-shirt) was abrupt and rude in the way he spoke to guests.
The worst was a man at reception called Sevan. I needed some help and the first time I approached him he told me to come back after an hour as he was busy! Strangely, I was the only one at the desk! The next time he was counting cash and told me to come back after 15 minutes when his shift would be over!. And finally, on another occasion, when I asked his colleague if there was a message for room 409 he interrupted and, without even looking, just said 'no message'! I got the distinct feeling that he was a chauvenist and was not going to talk to a woman!
On the whole I feel that this hotel needs to shut down and have a complete makeover. I certainly would not stay there again!

This hotel is in need of major upgrading in the facility and the service. The only positive is the location close to the central bus station. The room door didn't close properly; the room was never really cleaned during our four-day stay; a vacuum cleaner was left in the middle of the hall for two days; no wash cloths provided; dirty hallways and lobby tables; bathroom lighting had to be fixed while we were there; sporadic hot water for the shower; etc.
