This hotel was part of a tour we went on, we didn't book it independently. It was close to the tram which is free (at least it is now, I heard they are going to start charging sometime in 2012). We were able to ride it several times into the city and shopping areas. For the breakfast buffet, we were seated together as a group of about 30 which was not convenient since we had to squeeze 6 people to a small table that should have been for 4. The food choices for the buffet were good. Many salads, cereal, yogurt, breads, coffee and tea and a variety of other things to satisfy most people. The staff was not particularly helpful, it seemed that every time we asked them for something they didn't have it or know how to get it. One day they would have currency to exchange and another they wouldn't. When we checked in as scheduled, our rooms were not ready and after 27 hours of flying, we were exhausted and wanted to go directly to our rooms. We waited about 30 minutes, while others in our group waited longer. Even when we did get to our room, there were no towels or soap/shampoo etc. there. I had to hunt someone down from housekeeping. Our phone never worked the entire time we were there. The middle elevator is used for Shebat (Sabbath) on Friday/Saturday, so stay out of that one if you don't want to stop at every floor. The rooms were fine, not very modern but ok. The mall downstairs had some great shopping and conveniently had atm's and currency changers. We stayed for 5 nights and traveled from here to our destinations which worked out fine for us since we were on a prearranged tour. Otherwise, it may be a ways out for some who want to see the sights. We never got to use the pool because you have to get permission and it wasn't available when we wanted to go.
