So people come to pinati for the hummus. Which is creamy, rich and satisfying. Try it with the spicy green chilli sauce which comes on the side. The pita is perfectly doughy, it's just a winning combination.

What was pleasantly surprising was that the falafel was just as good - easily the best I had in jerusalem. They were crispy, not too heavily fried and lightly spiced so you still get that chickpea taste.

If you love your humus and you came for it this is your place.
Its a small place, that in last years evolved into a chain of restaurants. The humus is great, try the one with meat.
Keep in mind that this is no place to sit for hours over a cup of tea - you come here to get your hummus, eat it and make room for other costumers - especially during lunch time, as the place gets really packed.

Ok, it's not fancy, and it gets loud, but that's just about perfect for a place that clearly is a local working mans hangout. But don't let that fool you, we are a family of four you stumbled upon this place the other day and we were made to feel sooooo welcome. The owner looked after us, recommending different dishes, and seeing to our every need. From the fabulous hummus ( not to be missed), to the amazing moussaka and chicken schnitzel, everything was fresh and practically flew out onto the table. Pitchers of water quenched our thirst and various hot and spicy condiments led us to drink even more. 30 minutes after sitting down we were pushing our chairs back and patting our bellys. And the cost? For a family of four we enjoyed a delicious and filling lunch for under 120 sheckles ( that's around $30 )! Do yourself a favor if your'e in the area, eat here. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and tell Mair, the owner, that American guy Steve say hi.

Nothing fancy, a workingmans eatingplace. Good fresh food, very fast service.
Usually crowded between 11:45 - 13:00, so unless you don،t mind sharing your table with strangers try other times. But definitely worth a visit.
They have takeaway as well, but it still tastes better onsite.
