This is a wonderful museum, and details Menachem Begin's great life. The displays are very well done, and certainly worth your time.

“A Must See for any Visitor to Israel ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2013 via mobile

This is return visit for us to Israel and we were fortunately directed to spend some time at this museum. TMBHCM is great for a first time visitor. It was not open the last time we were in the country. After touring the museum, it is so dense with history and presented in such an entertaining manor, that I can't imagine not wanting to go back and experience it again and again.
One caveat, as informative as this museum is; it is infinitely a better experience if you visit it with some elementary knowledge of the politics and personalities of the "founding fathers" of Israel.

“A fantastic experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2013

I would rate this as one of the top places to visit in Jerusalem. Definitely worth visiting...a very well laid-out museum, with fantastic audio visuals. An inspiring experience...for a very inspirational human being! Excellent book shop at the end of the visit too. Make sure you book your tour online before you go. Easy to walk to, if you're staying anywhere around the city centre. Its very close to the Montefiore windmill in Yemin Moshe.

“A great museum”

The museum is in a beautiful and a very quiet neighborhood. This is a must visit for the history lover’s. The exhibits are really interesting. Be sure to take a tour guide with you so as not to miss what this place has to offer.

“Excellently done museum with tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

This is a very moving experience and a special museum dedicated to a very special person. You have to book in advance (we called up the same morning we went) as you have to see the museum with a tour. We had two family members in wheel chairs (they have wheel chairs available on site) and they were very accomodating during the tour and the museum is very wheelchair-user friendly. The tour is just over an hour long and is mainly compromised of the audio videos that you are guided to in each room. The audio is all in Hebrew so if you are an English speaker you need to ask for an English tour and the headsites are a complete English translation. The various exhibits on the wall are explained through the audio making the museum trip a relatively easy one. The tour ends with a great view of the Old City. There is a cafe inside the complex which is beautifully built. Well worth a visit.
