“A great museum”

The museum is in a beautiful and a very quiet neighborhood. This is a must visit for the history lover’s. The exhibits are really interesting. Be sure to take a tour guide with you so as not to miss what this place has to offer.

“Excellently done museum with tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

This is a very moving experience and a special museum dedicated to a very special person. You have to book in advance (we called up the same morning we went) as you have to see the museum with a tour. We had two family members in wheel chairs (they have wheel chairs available on site) and they were very accomodating during the tour and the museum is very wheelchair-user friendly. The tour is just over an hour long and is mainly compromised of the audio videos that you are guided to in each room. The audio is all in Hebrew so if you are an English speaker you need to ask for an English tour and the headsites are a complete English translation. The various exhibits on the wall are explained through the audio making the museum trip a relatively easy one. The tour ends with a great view of the Old City. There is a cafe inside the complex which is beautifully built. Well worth a visit.

“One of my favorite figures in Israeli hisory”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

The tour as it is setup now seems a bit rushed. You cannot enter without being in a group.

I (and another couple in my group) asked to go back to exhibit to see the parts we skipped. Those parts are skipped because the Audio/Visual systems supoosedly are timed in such a way that there is not enough time to see all the exhibits! Also it seems the sections skipped are policically the most diffiicult to explain.

So if interested - ask after the tour is done. This is best for adults interested in political history. I would be boring for younger children.

“A modern interactive museum, highlighting one of Israel's most memorable PMs”

We seeked an AC activity for the hot hours....suprised by the outcome!!!! Very moving. History is more complex than described, so I urge you to google a bit to see the broad picture....

“BEGIN HERITAGE MUSEUM”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

For a tourist wishing to complete a tour of Jerusalem by visiting the Begin Heritage Museum the recommendation merits 3 stars on a scale of 5 . It is a museum dedicated to the memory of a great man, situated close to the center of the city in a beautiful and historic neighborhood and within 10 min. walk from other interesting attractions among them Mishkenot Shaananim (recommended by Trip Advisor) and the Station Center opened recently in place of the old Train Station .
For the tourist interested in the history of the period during Menahem Begin's life the Museum presents a rich source of information and merits a 5 stars qualification.
In addition to the permanent exhibits, the tourist may also find other interesting activities going on since the Museum addresses and presents continuos modern topics through lectures and scientific exhibits .
