“Average and below - expensive and up”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

The restaurant is located near a large market - "Mahane Yehuda" busy area, crowded and noisy downtown Jerusalem.
The restaurant is quite small but we arrived without reservations. The service was was good . We received for start ,bread, olives and sauce to dip. Deliberately went hungry so we ordered another dish - the price of 4 slices of bread and two small olive jars with sauce - eight euros!
Entrees were reasonable - bruschetta sardines and rice balls - Arnzini with salsa .But the main courses were bad, Amateur [see pictures] and really not clear to us how dare they to call themselves - Italian restaurant . Even dessert was terrible. Comforted ourselves with good coffee and Coke.
If you precious money, there are many restaurants around with good local food for half the price to be paid and even less. Sixty euros dinner [not including tip], that left a bad taste in the mouth and in the pocket : - (

“romantic place”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

yes they do overprice a little bit but it's the best Italian cuisine in the city and it's worth the prices.
since it's a very small place, i'd recommend to order a place in advance.
they have picnic maps on the tables with red and white Squares which contribute a lot to the great atmosphere.

“Great place for a snack near the market”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

Lovely place right next to the mahane yehuda market for breakfast or light lunch as you watch all the shoppers from the market walk past. Food is fine but really you're here for the atmosphere.

“Overpriced average food”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

Our group of 6 tried several dishes....here's the verdict. The antipasti vegetables served on focaccia were nice and the portion was generous. The fresh figs stuffed with mozarella were served in a still hot Casis sauce ---we had to wait for it to cool down in order to enjoy it but the flavor of the alcohol had been lost with the heating. The pasta with fish dish was undercooked (al dente minus 2 more minutes in boiling water)....my friend didn't send it back but didn't enjoy it either. Four of us ordered fresh fish steaks. Two of the orders were overdone and tough; one was almost raw. The fish was served with 3 undercooked stalks of asparagus, and what was billed as semolina gnocchi (but looked like polenta patties). The side salad was warm lettuce smothered in a tasteless mustard dressing.
Not attractive, not tasty and not worth the price ($30).

“Reliable Kosher Italian”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

Small in size but large in terms of taste, location and service. We eat here whenever we are in Jerusalem and have always had a good meal. It's location just by the Machane Yehuda makes an ideal spot to escape the frenzy of the market.
